Got the new replacement cable for xbox from M$ today after logging my PAL Xbox serial number. Well it's very nice of M$ to send me the replacement power cable and all but there's tiny little problem... you see I live in the country where 240 VAC is the norm whereas M$ sent me 120 VAC module... What the... ?!? But then again considering it's M$ doesn't surprise me one bit... will have to contact M$ to find out whether I can start the fire by plugging in this one into neigbour's power outlet... drama continues...
use it > causes xbox to blow up > sue them! lol ah I wish it was that simple, oh well looks like you are going to have fun with customer services
Yea.. call the customer service and rant like hell! :angry "I got this power-adaptor, plugged it in an my xbox+fuse blew up, turns out you sent the complete wrong cable! I DEMAND... :smt1069 (at least a new Xbox)" Id say its worth a try
I had a similar issue, they sent me a 240vac adapter for a 110vac machine BUT I never had to contact them as THEY knew they had made an error and sent out the correct one with an explanation letter all within a few days of the wrong one turning up.
its nice when a company relizes their mistake and its those kinda things that keep customers loyal, but honestly that happens rarely
let's see whether our M$ Aust branch has someone with half brain... heh! if I don't hear nor see anythig in next few days then I will post the same thread on Aust Xbox forum to see what kind of reaction I will get from M$ - I know they monitor and mod that forum...
