Right. I'm planning to release some Saturn goodies at Christmas again this year. Think it's the 5th Anniversary of this 'Tradition'. I'm planning on releasing two mystery packs, one for each day of Christmas. Packs will include a game BETA, some development tools and some other interesting things. To make this happen I bought ~$1500 worth of development gear across the year. I backed up some highly annoying to work with Magneto Optical disks (my imported drive was dodgy and BSOD-ed my system frequently, NOT FUN), scanned some ancient 3.5" floppies and some old CD's. Oh, and I'm making the final payment of roughly $250 this week and would appreciate some funds. That is all. Any questions? Shoot
Still no luck with MO drives (bought some Magneto optical disks with Saturn dev stuff). The new one I bought was busted
How did I miss Saturn dev stuff for sale?! heh. Bring them over to England and we'll take a look Well, if I can find my MO drive, that is! What size MO disks, by the way? *EDIT* Oh, and by that I mean capacity AND 90mm or 130mm?
Too bad you didn't say Zip or SuperDisk. I can not only hook you up with a drive but have brand new disks for both. Well at least Zip100 and Zip250. Don't have the larger drives or disks yet.
Then they'll be 90mm disks. However, there were 128Mb and 230Mb disks that were a proprietary format and are NOT compatible with regular drives. I'll have a look and see what drives I can find. Bit of a mission going through my storage, though - may not be until the new year! *EDIT* Do you know what file system/OS the computer was that wrote the discs, by the way? I'm assuming you know they could be formatted with any file system.
Thank you so much - great Christmas present! Mirrors: http://www.saturn-planet.com/present1.rar http://www.saturn-planet.com/present2.rar
/* Rob 01703 330 930 */ /* Mobile Darren - 0468 231 651 */ /* Tim - 0181 654 0361 , mobile 0468 231 649 */ "Excuse me sirs but would you mind helping me with a few bugs in your code?" Numbers are probably long dead.
Of course. 01703 is Southampton, so will be a defunct developer no doubt. 0181 was London but dead now. The mobiles are using the wrong format for modern numbers. I guess you're talking about Probe, which got swallowed up by Acclaim over 10 years ago now (first Acclaim Cheltenham, then Acclaim Studios London). And if it's Probe, Darren would have been the Producer. He's not with Acclaim now.
