What is the worst cereal ever? Is the best part of waking up a gag of disgust? How did these guys come up with Smacks and Corn Pops? My worst cereal experience dates back to the mid nineties, when I poured myself some Special K, only to find small insects crawling (or should I say "swimming".) in my bowl of milk. The second was with Smacks. It's a mix between eating a coffee bean, and stuffing sawdust in your mouth. Grrooosss. Does anyone else notice how Cookie Crisp has changed it's taste? I don't even remember what it tasted like originally, but it sure as hell was not this crap!
I never liked Wheaties. Or Raisin Bran. I love Reece's Pieces. And Cracklin Oat Bran. P.S. Corn Flakes and Smacks are tasty. I've never had a bad experience quite like yours. EDIT: Yes, I have noticed Cookie Crisp has a different taste.
My least favorite: Ezekiel Cereal (link) It was pretty much a dank, musty pile of miscellaneous grain crumbs. The Ezekiel bread is good, but avoid the cereal.
Cheapo cornflakes. I LOVE Kellogg's Cornflakes, but have made the mistake of trusting cheapo store brand cornflakes too many times. Unsweetened raisin bran is delicious, but the USA does not seem to sell it. So I get cheapo bran flakes (unsweetened) and add my own raisins. Yummy yummy. Also, you can't get decent Musli here, it seems. Everything is far too sweet.
Any product named after a biblical character should be avoided. My mom got pregnant while using Virgin Mary condoms and thus I came to being....
That's so funny because I can't see myself eating Lucky Charms or Count Chocula (Ok, maybe not Count Chocula.) without the marshmallows! They are the best part! All of the cereals that I actually enjoy are diabetes-friendly: Reece's Puffs, Oops! All Berries Cap'n Crunch (I loved the Christmas edition that had a packet of frosting to put on the cereal!..I don't think they still do that, though.), Trix, and Fruity Pebbles. I wonder what a mixed bowl of them all would taste like....
The only cereal I really can't stand is Wheaties. By the way, does anyone remember a cereal from several years ago(maybe around 10 years) that consisted of a sweet, red flavor in the middle with an outer part looked like a Kix? If I recall correctly, there was a robot on the front of the box. it wasn't a bad cereal at all, but I figure while we're on the topic of cereals, I would throw that question out there.
Hmmm I like any kind of Corn flakes, as long it taste like Corn Flakes, when I was a child I liked Captain Crunch and Ota Gold grain(also known as golden puffs and honey puffs when you buy them in Liddl), but stuff I can not stand even to this day as a cereal are oats. Whether it is oat flakes or and especially not when it is oatmeal . The only I ate oat flakes as breakfast was where I was so fucking hungry on a scout camp and there I put loads of sugar on and some milk and I would never eat that crap again (oh yes I have been one of those always prepared people, but not the direct version of Lord Baden Powel fellow, but the KFUM which means Christian , Federation for Young Men, even though in KFUM we also had girls and women but in KFUK there are only women, and that organisation is the sister organisation of KFUM) which is a part of the state owned church in Denmark which is knows as The Danish Peoples Church. And not DDS which stands for De Danske Spejdere (The Danish Scouts which are the Lord Baden Powel people). But oh what fun we had with having the Baden Powel guys as our "enemies". Even though we all were scouts.
Grape Nuts. I love them, especially after they absorb a little milk. I've always been one for bland things - plain bread, donuts without frosting, cake with no frosting, plain bagels with nothing on them, etc. Never much for the sugary cereals, I don't like how they turn into mush and make the milk all discolored. I did used to like Cinnimon Toast crunch as a kid though.
