lets face it the genesis rocked loads with loads of great games to boot but what where the best geensis (yes sega cd and 32x games count since there technicly add ons)

    heres ones i liked

    genesis

any sonic game(except 3d blast that sucked)
pretty obvious lol sonic in my eyes was everything mario wasnt he was fast he had attitude he had blast f**king processing and his games rocked my personal fav is sonic 3 and knuckles ^^ it had some of my fav levels in the sonic series (ice cap zone FTW)

    rocket knight adventures
koinami made some great games but rocket knigth adventures got quite overlooked by alot of gamers back in the day some dismissed it as another mascot character which was a shame because his game was fantastic great graphics fun and challenging gameplay awesome music what more could you want he did have a sequal called sparkster but it dosent hold a candle to the first game.

    toejam and earl
by far one of the most unique games on the sega genesis in my eyes you play as either toejam or earl and u basicly explore the game looking for collectables which give you various powerups the game was packed full of zany humour a funky soundtrack and some nice gameplay to boot (the sequal was abit meh though atleast for me)

    musha
considered by some to be one of the best shmups ever made and pretty much deserves that title because this game is amazing the gameplay is fast and frantic the difficulty is really high but not to unfair and the graphics for 1991 look great deffinatly pick up musha if you can find it cheap

    golden axe series
one of my fav beat m up series ever great gameplay awesome music and its jus tones of play alone or with a friend my fav in the trilogy is the first game and it always will be

    some hounerable mentions
    ristar
    streets of rage series
    el viento
    fantastic dizzy
    pulseman

    sega cd

    sonic cd:
while i dont think its as amazing as people make it out to be i still think its a great sonic game with decent graphics amazing music (especilly the opening theme) and its the first aperence of metal sonic that alone is awesome ^^

    lords of thunder
BEST SOUNDTRACK EVER how the hell this game got overlooked by people ill never know seriously get lords of thunder its like one of the best shmups period

    hounerable mentions
    keio flying squadren
    earthworm jim special edition
    robo aleate
    flink

    32x

    tempo
a very love hate game for many but i enjoyed it the graphics where very high quality for the time the music was upbeat and fun and when you got used to the gameplay it was a blast to play atleast to me

    doom
not a great port but what the hell Its the same great doom as it was on the other consoles (except the soundtrack was meh)

so thats mine but what are your fav genesis,32x and sega cd games

Lords of Thunder on Sega CD is terrible compared to the original version on the PC-Engine/Turbografx. Both visually and the audio. I'm not sure why they remixed the audio for the Sega CD but the result was not good.

Also you should use punctuation in your posts. Everything you write looks like a huge run on sentence.

i dunno it played fine for me i might have to give the cd version ago but i dunno maybe its because i played the sega cd version post (and ive heard the turbo CDs music and it sounds very high quality for a game that came out in 1993

but they never relesed the turbo graphic cd version in the west so we had to make do with what we had ^^

Yes they did. Lords of Thunder was available in the US on the TurboGrafx 16 CD/Turbo DUO long before it was on Sega CD. I may have been a bit harsh on the Sega CD version, but it really isn't as good as the original.

I think the Disney games deserved a mention here as I love castles of illusions and world of illusions, Aladdin ETC!

OP forgot to add spinball to the list of 16bit sonic games that sucked

The 32X's saving grace are StarWars and VF, the rest could go to a landfill for what I care

As for the SegaCD, again there are very few gems, one of them is Soul Star.

Snatcher for Sega CD has a great soundtrack, some people find the game creepy and I would agree with them, however a new copy that is still sealed will sell for over $3,000 on ebay/

C'mon, no love for the Lunar games? Those games look and sound fantastic even now, I can't even imagine what people must have thought of them when they first came out.
