Another good game by NCS/Masaya. I also love their Zen Nippon Pro Wrestling series, especially their 3rd and final one, Zen Budokan. They were an underrated company.

Shubibinman is cool but too easy. Other than that, a very fun 2-player game. It's like Mega Man meets a beat 'em up.

It is convertable to repro cartridge. Try asking Mottzilla again. I'm also confident someone could hack the rom to work on the PowerPak like they did with BS Golf.

Thank you for recommending this game, Steve. I've been playing through this, and I'll be uploading my playthrough of the SP mode on a 1-4 hole basis, for each world. It'll probably be a lot more interesting to play with other CPUs, but I'm just going to learn the holes one in a group before going on to videos showcasing trick shots and play with the CPU.

The playlist can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/DragoonEnRegalia

Overall, this game could really use a ranking system--if it had just that, I'd be hooked and trying to get a better run on a world each time I play. I'm already getting picky about certain holes, learning how to approach a new hole configuration for each different course, and being amazed at the subtle wackiness and complexities of this game. It sure reminded of how much I loved NCS Masaya at their best!

Haha yeah, nicely stated. I'm picky on certain holes too, and the game always manages to somehow amaze/baffle me with its subtle wackiness and complexities. NCS Masaya was definitely an underrated company that made some good old fashion FUN video games.

I've only been able to hole in one two courses... Hole 1 and Hole 5 of the first world. Hole 1 is actually 100% hole-in-one-able on two of their random cup generators, which is a bit of a shame in hindsight, but hey, it's only 1 hole and it's the first one to boot so... not too bad.

And if you haven't had a chance to play this with real humans yet, you're in for a treat when you finally do. I've been playing this competitively with my brother and it's always a blast. I can't wait for my cousins to visit on the next big family get-together. It's a unique multi-player game in the fact that, one player plays at a time, so it can be quite cerebral. It's a nice break from Bomberman, for instance. This golf game is more methodical and maddening, heh heh..

I've been fairly lethargic this spring break, and I really need to get practicing on the second world. World 1 is done, but man oh man is the second world so much harder--I frickin' love it. The second hole is a real joy-kill when you can't get all the way 'round by the 3rd stroke.

No PowerPak for me yet, but I'll need to consider investing in one. This game could be ridiculous.

Yes, it's a fine game indeed. Not as well known as Super Mario World and Contra III obviously, but as often is the case with the internet, even DC is quite well known in SNES circles these days.

Dragoon, yeah world 2 is a hoot and a half. My bro and I aren't big fans of world 3 and 4 though. They are a bit of a letdown following worlds 1 and 2, both of which I love.

I've been having so much fun with this game!

It's a pitty it didn't get officially released.

I love how there are these small mini-golf tricks in some courses like getting the ball inside the dog's house to make it come out from another place straight into the hole, or getting it in a hole dug out on the ground, and a mole takes it out near the hole.

    Cool game, thanks again Steve!

You're welcome! I enjoyed spreading the word and it joys me that many others are now aware of this game and partaking in its brilliance. By the way, Brandon Cobb messaged me, the man who runs Super Fighter Team. He said his team will never release this game.

So basically, at this point, your only option to play it on a real TV is through a PowerPak, ToToTek, Everdrive or similar flash cart.

I have a PowerPak and whole heartedly recommend it. Even though it's $150-ish, all the games you can get on it, including this one, makes it well worth the asking price.

EDIT: Yeah, the game has lots of neat little tricks. It reminds me of Super Mario Kart somehow, with the shortcuts, random item powerups, etc. Hmmm, I wonder if someone could hack it to replace the golfers with Mario, Luigi, Toad, Princess, Bowser, etc. That would be a hoot, heh.
