That it's code name is Durango. (According to Jokokau or just A JOKE) else where I heard it was called loop. It's like they aren't even TRYING anymore. Link where it's called Durango- http://kotaku.com/5885539/the-next-xbox-is-code+nameddurango Link where it's called Loop- http://www.itproportal.com/2011/11/16/xbox-720-loop-hardware-specs-leaked/ Here's my BS Rumor of the week. Sony and Microsoft are working together on the Nextbox it will be called the XBOX Playstation, Sony will work on the Hardware side while Microsoft will provide a heavily modified Windows 8 interface. Source- The deep reaches of my ass.
The Nextbox will also use only a kinect system and will not have characters but I-cons utilizing the kinect much like the film Gamer.
Kotaku is just like gizmodo and their other sister blogs: rags that use crazy wild speculation to get as many pageviews as possible. Its all about the benjamins with these idiots, they even put ads in the form of articles now, a form of whoredom that you only see in the pennysaver Whatever you read over there take with a pound of salt...
Yeah, and the fuckers block a lot of apps from working there, iReader for example. And that "redesign", way to talk out of your ass when you dont have the manpower to get it done, its been over a year and it's still full of bugs and glitches
This thread is just to consolodate them so we don't have to make a thread every time somebody says something about the Next Box
I like reading speculations about next gen. What I don't like reading is you pulling stuff out of your ass. Which leaves... Not that much, really.
Actually there is. For example, the Windows 8 logo everyone thought was fake a couple of days ago turned out to be legit.
LMAO ok Look on my Retrocade blog for BS rumors of the next XBOX http://retrocadefantasia.blogspot.com/2012/02/bombsell-xbox-next-news.html now look at this kotaku article. http://kotaku.com/5891850/the-next-xbox-wont-have-a-disc-drive Yep stuff I pulled out of my ass is being reported as fact
God I hope not. The PSVita is a discless format and it still manages to have some nifty load times. And also: Download only games would only hurt a large amount of the US internet connect population. Bandwidth Caps. Blu-ray has a capacity of 50GB on a Dual layer. Imagine a 50GB download for a single game since game assets will probably increase exponentially with next gen. By the time you finish downloading huge games your bandwidth for the month is all used up. On my internet I've got either a 100GB or 200GB cap(can't remember which) Of course, a remedy for that may be to compress them in archives for download and have the console unpack them to their full size to install them. That doesn't help if you purchase and download a lot of games each month.
See the Point is it's almost exactly like a rumor I pulled out of my ass A MONTH AGO here's the exact quote from the Retrocade site That's not from Kotaku or their source that is from the Retrocade blog which was pulled RIGHT OUT OF MY ASS. The whole reason I posted it was to see how long it took for somebody to take it seriously.
IGN jumped into the pool of bullshit as well. This is just stupid, IGN, Kotaku and GT were saying stuff about a Steam console, then later on made another story saying Valve denies it. They're a bunch of wankers seriously.
I could circulate this image and these dipshit websites would start creaming about a new crossover fighter
