I think that there needs to be a minimum post count before new members can post anything. I guarantee that it would stop the spamming...

Respect here has absolutely nothing NOTHING to do with number of posts. I go by useful posts that provide good information. Some people have high posts and have never posted anything meaningful. You are all free to post reviews, articles, graphics, whatever. But no one does.

Seriously, people take post count too seriously. And spam posting is not allowed in any way. I kicked the minimum character count up to ten, that should cut down on the crap posting.

Sadly, the joke was lost (minimum post count to post anything = no posting at all)... :crying:

I didn't think the topic had evolved into something needing jokes amidst serious conversation, but I digress.

No, never, and I never said I was bullied. madhatter was acussing me of bullying, then he tried to tell me to take it to someone of authority, but in doing that he was doing the same thing he was accusing me of doing, which was trying to assume authority and bully people, but I wasn't.

    That's nice.

Is disagree with the opinion that welcoming members after their first post is 'annoying'.

Everything bugs you. You need to stop criticizing others and start contributing more than a post full of complaints. In case you haven't noticed, your posts full of complaining don't exactly help anything. How about contributing something worthwhile to the boards or not contributing at all? You are good at pointing out other peoples mistakes and lecturing other good members that contribute but you fail to recognize that your posts of complaints are annoying as well.

True this topic is spam and the guy has been banned for it but was it really necessary to write a two paragraph post full of complaints about the way other people post?

Please note, this post is NOT meant to be a personal flame at all, im simply telling you that while you find welcoming new members annoying, I find accusing people of trying to raise their post counts and bullying people annoying.

Im sure you'll reply to this topic with some sort of flame, most likely containing the topic of me being a noob or having a low post count, both of which are off-topic and unrelated to the point im trying to raise here but, don't bother, you won't get a flame topic from me, i've said what needs to be said and that's that.

Shut the hell up you lovely person. Maybe I wouldn't complain so much if we didn't have a bunch of deep sea fishermen, like you and evangelion-01, talking cheese and being fruity. Also, your post is nothing but complaints, so you're doing exactly what you're talking against. Way to go, buddy.

Like I said, you won't get a flame reply from me but let me give you a little insight into the problem we have here. When you disagree with the way somebody does something or somebodies ideas, instead of nicely taking them aside and having a reasonable conversation with them you choose to flame them. I have only been on these forums a few times and EVERY post I've ever seen you make was a flame.

Scenario #1: Mark simply says "Welcome" to a member. Maybe it wasnt the correct place to do it, but the member was new and mark explained the scenario there. Instead of taking him aside and asking him not to post posts without content you choose to flame and insult him by accusing him of trying to raise his post count.

Scenario #2: In a resident evil beta topic (My first post as well) I make a post asking if anybody beat the game with the knife and a triple post (which I fixed to a double post realizing my mistake BEFORE you replied, you choose to respond to me by saying "Going off topic and triple posting! Looks like we've got a real winner on our hands"

Scenario #3: This very topic, You slander evangelion simply for agreeing with me.

Indeed my post is complaining but it's not the same. I was trying to be nice in my first post but i'll just go ahead and say it: There's a difference between complaining and bitching. Also, every post I make doesn't include slandering another member or bitching about others mistakes. It's like you go around the forums looking for people to pick on. Try to realize that just because this is the internet doesn't mean we are going to put up with your shit.

Try to realize that you AREN'T perfect. You are no better than anybody else here. You are not a moderator or administrator therefore it is not your job to point out peoples mistakes and if you must point out peoples mistakes, I suggest you do so in a better manner in the future.

What is wrong with welcoming new posters? If you find it annoying, ignore it! If you see it as trying to bump my post count, you can check the quality of my posts/threads in my profile. I do not intentionally bump my post count. I’m not simply stating that I have never spammed before, but I have also contributed to these forums.

You don’t have any right to tell me what I should or should not post in the site. You don’t own this place. Just because you have been “around†longer than others doesn’t make you better than anyone else. I see the ASSEMbler forums as a great place to discuss about Rare & Obscure gaming items, something I enjoy. Welcoming people in this great community should not be found “annoying†as you say. If the mods/admins have a problem with some posts, they can contact me, no problem. Nobody will ever turn me down from viewing these forums.

Next time you find particular posts annoying and have the urge to notify the person who posted it, I advise, if you wish, that you contact them privately instead of “trying†to make people look like fools over the internet. It seems like you can only “flame†people by cursing like some “annoying†kid. I go down with class.

Oh, by the way, if you find this particular post annoying, I don’t want you contacting me, ever…

    ~Peace

You dont know Evangelion-01 very well, do you? He does a pretty good job slandering himself.

Whether or not he slanders himself is his own choice, I don't think it's right for him to get picked on (or any other member) when he hasn't done anything wrong (at least in this particular post) simply for stating his opinion. Besides, that's not the point im trying to bring across.

To tell you the truth, I really don't give a damn what you think about my posting style, and I'll keep on doing what I've been doing in the past. Oh, and I'm always right :eek:h:

Shut the hell up. You haven't contributed a damn bit to this forum since you first signed up. You spam the hell out of the boards and your posts are empty. End of story.

I think it's funny how most of the people that have a problem with me are noobs and idiots. The only oldbie and non-idiot that really got annoyed was madhatter. Hmm...
