    nice one OE ;)

By the way, that DDH should be replaced with a DDH bearing RJ45 ports instead of standard GC ports, to match the "old-ness" of the XBOX tower ;)

Fookin' quality OE. Love that Alpha MS kit - looks awesome! But I agree, the TOOL is pretty amazing too.

I know it's stating the obvious but I tink it's great that it looks just like a PS2! The PS3 devkit looks poo, unless they change it later down the line.

Hmmm I'd say about as heavy a regular P.C, in other words about half the weight of the TOOL !

Just when you thought it couldn't get any sweeter

What you REALLY need is Sony PS2 Alpha up on that desk, but as the only reported sightings of it are somewhere in the USA (being used as a plant pot holder ffs!) then we'll let you off. ;-)

I agree in that A: The PS2 Tool just 'looks' stunning, however the Alpha is something else! I love that unit. B: The PS3 devkit really is an uninspiring piece of design, but what is IN the box counts for something. I found some images elsewhere of the unit and by comparison to the PS2 it appears to be even bigger!

nice size comparison, because i think everyone of us knows one of these machines...now i know how big the TOOL is, it's bigger than the DDH, never thought that...wow!

parris, you got a pic of that alpha ps2? sounds awesome ;)

The one and only image of the Sony PS2 Alpha that I have ever seen is in this PSx thread. http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10802

Why does the Xbox have a nasty third party pad and the other machines don't...

I could be wrong, but from what I've read somewhere that is actually the prototype Xbox controller, not some third party controller.

...'Cos the Xbox was at prototype stage, and all the others were at retail stage.

Now you must merge them into one, better and fast machine!
    Go devtron, go!

I nominate devbot as our official mascot.
