That Nintendon't ad reminds me of how we weren't allowed to have such ads back then in the UK. We would always have things like Fairy liquid vs. brand X. I find it a bit petty having a go directly at your competition by name, though. We had the "to be this good takes AGES" ads.

Come to think of it, there's an ad I'd like to see again. I did search for it a while back, but couldn't find anything. I guess it was Master System or Mega Drive era. It had the "to be this good takes AGES" on screen, then the AGES flipped around to spell SEGA. In fact, I think perhaps Sonic ran past it and caused it to spin? Does anyone have that ad?

I agree. You should be able to explain your own merits without criticising someone else's shortcomings. We're both British, though, so I guess we would say that. (EDIT: before this is construed as some kind of critique of American culture, I only meant that we've both grown up with it so would be more likely to appreciate it.)

Excuse me ??? Its totally your prerogative to horde away your videos from the public like some government agency. I dunno what purpose that serves, anyways. I've had great experiences in my life and I like to give back to the community. And WHY NOT get the CREDIT / RECOGNITION for giving back to the HOBBY??? Maybe one day something can be learned from the gaming past to improve on the gaming industry TODAY. I really don't want the industry to crash in the West again.

But I could be wrong ...

 

what he meant was - PM him or a moderator to see if it deserves it's own thread. Basically, he was excusing you posting this outside of the "Youtube video thread", because that thread is just for your typical internet videos, such as a dude getting hit in the balls
