Not long ago i've started playing forza motorsport 2 online, and even tought it is an outstanding game it really lacks tracks... a problem that is really relevant when playing online, so the community was eagerly waiting for a track DLC to bring some freshness to the game. In the end Turn10 announced that they were to release the circuit of Motegi Twin Ring for 600 microsoft points. beside the fact that nobody ever asked for that track (there's plenty of official track request topics) the price seemed too step for a track that you can't avoid to own (otherwise you would get kicked from online rooms when it is selected if not owning the track). in short the forum expressed 2 different sides; the "moaning childrens" (not willingly to get raped in they money like that) and the "boot lickers" (that stated they would pay ANY amount for a new track) in the end the biggest part of players complained for the price asking for a reduction (otherwise they would boycott the DLC) and the INCREDIBLE happened. Turn 10's emply in the forum, named Chespace, noticed the enormous uproar and talked to the marketing guys AND... they dropped the price to a far more reasonable 400 points! i consider this as a milestone in gaming industry, that shows that the gaming industry CAN BE MADE TO LISTEN to players if they compact themselves and complain loudly. What are your toughts? karsten PS i was wishing to post it in the news section, but now it seems i'm not allowed anymore ...!?
