^ is looking at a 1996 SpaceWorld Expo 64DD Zip Disk prototype by Nintendo courtesy of Iomega. The second (and final) type of disk, found in the actual release-DD is more akin to the HDFloppy that Sony briefly produced, as evident by ALPS' stand in some other expo showcasing the use of their HDfloppies (the 64DD was sitting there amongst other types).
