The Elder Scrolls: Arena (PSX)

So there was PSX port of first game in The Elder Scrolls series in development. Are there any more informations? And what is history of Softbank?

"This title from Softbank is based on a PC game from 1993. It's a real-time RPG where you'll have to gather 4 pieces of a magic staff named Chaos to free the king, who's trapped in another dimension. You can choose one of 10 characters: 5 men and 5 women. Of course, the way the game will play will be different according to your capacities".

As for SoftBank, apparently they are making mobile games now.

It was also planned for the Saturn. I posted a magazine scan of that version here some years back.

For the record, Soft Bank would also have been involved (in a publishing capacity) with quite a few other games that never saw the light of day on Saturn, including Destruction Derby 2, Formula 1, Adidas Power Soccer and Assault Rigs, though the latter did curiously receive a Japanese exclusive release.

 

SoftBank did release Destruction Derby 1 on Saturn in Japan.

 

I could only imagine how much I would have played this if it came out on ps1 (don't care to much for pc gaming)
