    Never heard of him... Looks like he was well known, unbeknown to me.

    If you liked the Equaliser then hunt down Callan as it's what made Edward Woodward famous as a hard secret agent kind of guy. Also hunt down 1990, another role he plays very well.

    One of this most famous film roles was in the thriller The Wicker Man, which I recommend everyone sees. (The original 70s movie, preferablely the extended DVD version and not the awful american remake....)

    He was a great actor and he will be missed.

    That's sad news. When I was a kid I always watched The Equalizer. The image of Edward Woodward standing in front of his Jag in the opening titles is still in my memory.

    R.I.P. Sir, never knew you, but I think I would love to see that series. It sounds like an awesome old series.

    knew him from certain movies but not by his name. especially from the wickerman with christopher lee. great movie.
