These are sad news indeed... Theres no doubts now: [the problem] is definitely the GPU, as its still 90nm:-( Anyway, at least they changed the RLOD pattern:lol:
lol, they actually got rid of the 3 RROD. People were just joking about MS doing this, as their warranty coverage was highly specific language to just that.
Fingers crossed it's not another 360 twinkle town in the next month or so. My current 360 has survived longer than any other I have owned.
The RLOD pattern is becoming a pop-icon lately (my signature is actually a tshirt on sale) to the point that theres a song about it on youtube, among other things. The BSOD is already part of computer history, and MS never liked that cuz these kind of things are like permanent brown spots on the company's white shirt... I'm the king of analogies:lol:
Strange since Microsoft pokes fun at the BSOD themselves, and bungie does as well in both Halo 2 and Halo 3. And I'm calling fake, why would they change the patterns? That would only complicate customer service.
I do know they wanted to dump the AV cable error lights, since many RROD were actually unplugged AV cables, so maybe thats it.
plus considering microsoft owned bungie during halo 2 an 3 development, they could have just said "No BSOD"
Nah, I read somewhere that the Bungie guys had a lot of freedom when making the halo games. MS only cares/cared about 2 things: one, that the game is ready on time; and two, that they dont kill MC:lol:
