You have to destroy the Solano's bunker with a nuclear-drilling-random-missile. And while in the PC, XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 version you can stay so close to the explosion, that seems to be underground, in the Playstation 2 version you have to stay crazy damn far away, you cant even see the bunker, otherwise the shockwave kills you. I mean, you have to be this far away: Meanwhile in PC: Lol, the first time i tried the bomb i was like: ok, bring em down baby, wait, WHAAT!!
That's a strange design choice, especially given that you would expect the better hardware to be more able to handle a huge distance.
This is interesting. How long does it take to get far away from the blast to do not get killed in the PS2 version?
Yes, and the maximum view distance in PC is huge, even more than Just Cause 2, for example. You can view the limits of the blast in the gif, its pretty pretty far away. Edit: I found a map, its something like this.
This means the PS2 version is the most realistic of all! Seriously though thank you for the awesome info. I was addicted to this game when it was released on the PC at the time. I didn't even know there was a PS2 version of this game....
