The Firemen 2 just launched on PSone Classics! Super excited that this was just launched on PSN, it's a sequel to the SNES classic "The Firemen". One of those rare sprite based 32-bit games. Anyone ever play the import Japanese import? Wondering how it compares to the SNES game. Monkey Paw Games Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILX8fEN2XjE It may be no Princess Crown visually, but post 16-bit sprite based games always make me wonder what another generation of sprite based games would have looked like...
I was Very Shocked to see this on the american PS Store!! i'm soooo glad they finally brought this over! very excited to buy this once i get some money for my account soon Hopefully Monkeypaw games bring over Front Mission First &/or Community Pom soon. i'd wondered, what has decided for them to finally bring this over? it's been on the JPN Store since already probably two or three years.
Seems like both Sony and MonkeyPaw are starting to put PS1 classics back on track. Saw that CyberSled was made available this week too.
Awesome! Maybe some other HUMAN Entertainment games may make their way over to PS1 Classics. Mizzurna Falls would be a plus, though I'm not sure who has the rights to that...
Would be good but not sure if it would happen as contrary to everyone believing Capcom owns it, Sunsoft are actually the ones that own the IP now. If all else fails, there's still my translation patch for it.
Next week on the US Store: PSOne Classic Gex: Enter the Gecko PSOne Import Hyper Crazy Climber PS2 Classic Trapt
True it would be hard for them to try bringing it over (I think) even though it was easy for them to get this game (The Firemen 2) to release here, they're should be no excuse & yeah if all else fails your english translation is the next best thing ;-)
Excuse my ignorance - I do not (yet) own any recent Sony consoles - but have those PSN "imports" been translated or otherwise localized (e.g. inclusion of a minimal strategy guide that at least tells you where to go next) in some way?
I hate to break it to you but sadly no.. the reason i assume is probably to have the real deal of having like a legit import copy (but digital) and translating the game or manual for the US market would possibly cost more e.g original (without) = 6.99 Translation (with) maybe i give 8.99 or 9.99 i guess. Than again there is a probability in which someone makes a hack software that lets you patch (if fan translation available for your bought game) use said patch on your game and then re-copy it back to your PS3 hdd, then "Poof"there's your JPN PS1 game you have in english! ;-)
DOwnloaded it about 20 minutes ago. I have NO Idea what I have to do to rescue that girl in the first section of the game. EEP gonna be a long night of "WTF do I do here"
damn, we got this one + Hyper Crazy Climber and i had no idea! i've had a repro of the SNES one for a while now, was always curious about this. any idea why Tretton's talk years back about bringing Vib Ribbon never panned out?
Oh yeah! We still Never got Vib Ribbon! i'd wonder why just the europeans gets theres localised but not USA?! i'm highly sure today's americans will eat this shit up! spawning many "Clones" of that particular game with a few slight changes.
no doubt. i had to assume it was because playing it with soundtracks from other discs maybe made complications for the emulator or something? still a big bummer, though.
True probably, but wouldn't it be more easier since your running it via digital download & you can just pop in your CD album songs, Mixtape or whatever?
