Picking up from the Dreamcast Thread.

The original XBOX had alot of well INTERESTING games that the Gamecube and PS2 never saw. Games like Sudeki, Tao feng, Kakuto Chojin, Murakumo,
Wreakless (which did see ports to other systems) The XBOX has more than it's share of original and unique games nobody played.

Same deal as the Dreamcast thread.

I'll be taking note once my Dreamcast collection is what I would call Complete I might get going on the Original XBOX.

I'm not sure if it was well known or not, but Hunter: The Reckoning was a fun game for the original XBOX. It's sort of a modern day supernatural take on Gauntlet.

Otogi: Myth of Demons and also its sequel Otogi 2. Third person hack n slash with beautiful graphics and challenging gameplay.

The original Xbox never gets enough love in my opinion. I can only assume this is because it was made by those foreign devils Micro$oft and not a proper Japanese videogames company:shrug:.

Woah, woah, woah, what? There was an Xbox Gungriffon? Was it any good? I like the Saturn versions a lot, though I never did try the PS2 one. Is it the same?

Also, Hunter: The Reckoning is pretty fun, but is also multiplatform.

Breakdown for xbox comes to mind, it was way ahead of its time, lots of first person shooters are now trying to mimic its gameplay...

Others exclusives worth mentioning, Blinx1 and 2, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Conker: Live and Reloaded (even if its primary game was a n64 port there where a lot of added game modes, that makes it worth whiled :)

GunValkyrie was amazing once you get used to the controls.

Phantom Crash is a fun arena style mech game with as excellent soundtrack.

Amazing how I remember most of these games.

What was the name of the game designed by the creator of Panzer Dragoon?

Yeah, +1 for Phantom Crash. I spent hours on it when it first came out trying to build the ultimate Scooby. I remember having this ridiculously overpowered shoulder mounted cannon that could do most of the other mechs with a couple of good shots :flamethrower:

Is there anything like it available for current consoles?

Phantom Dust? Never played it since it wasn't released in Europe, though.

Ditto, my brother and I played it to the end on the first play through. I still need to get a copy of the sequel, Redeemer.

PD was cool only when played online, and since OG Xbox servers are dead it really not worth getting.

I was gonna say Gun Valkyrie. I haven't played it much, since it doesn't work on the 360 and I keep my original Xbox and home, but it seemed cool. The controls are a bit weird at first.

There are lots of great well-known games for Xbox, including a lot of SEGA games. I feel like the Xbox was sort of the unofficial Dreamcast 2. There's Panzer Dragoon Orta, JSRF, Shenmue 2, Outrun 2, to name a few. Although, the US version of Shenmue 2 had English voice acting, so I prefer the European DC version.

You may remember that Microsoft actually planned on making the Xbox capable of playing Dreamcast games at one point.

Phantom Crash and Phantom Dust were quite fun

There was a sword and sorcery one think it was called Enclave by Starbreeze, graphics and physics were pretty impressive, game was so so.

    Armed and Dangerous was hilarious

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System came out for all three platforms and was a lot of fun

Battle Engine Aquila had it's moments

Dai Senryaku VII: Modern Military Tactics interesting it got a NA release
