Well, it was me who got Deux Ex GOTY, no need for a tantrum. And when I saw the link there wasn't anything clearly asking for anything whatever. Plus, I must be like one of the few who actually reads 1st post and there's a clear message about minimum posts and asking (posting?) for stuff. I took it generalized to any participation aswell... maybe I was wrong. Anyway, I meant to pm the giver later, thanking him for it but I take the chance now.

No need to make others feel like they robbed something that was meant to be yours. There's a ton of things I'd take but overseas postage kills any chance of it. I don't complain with the giver or the post office, do I? Other keys seem to be taken aswell... did I or anyone else complained? Sure, it's good practice to but lets not jump into moral judgements... end of offtopic.

Lamont, thank you for your generosity. I'm new to Steam and Deux Ex is one of those games I never got the chance to play before.

 

Too bad about Last Remnant, I would've picked that up in a heartbeat had I not been at work (i.e. no Steam access). Oh well.

Also, this reminds me I still have a crapload of leftover Steam codes myself (see my post a few pages back), maybe I should repost that offer so people see it...? Otoh I should probably first go through the Desura backlog too.

 

Unfortunately a lot of people use search scripts to lurk for keys and direct download links. They don't even need to register or even bother to say thanks.

So it's important to always offer for trade or for PM request (like rso did).

It's all fine mate, just a general head's up would be good in terms of keys and the like going so I can just clear out the post or mark stuff as taken in the future.

I didn't do the keys one as PM request only as I was going to likely be busy doing stuff on my day off today and figured it'd be easiest to post the gift links on the topic on here as to avoid delayed responses.

Anyway. Just as well as Steam currently has multiple servers down at the moment and it's causing a few issues, including that my husband (I'm not a guy) whom is currently in the US can't connect and I can't either in Australia and changing DSL server settings have done nothing either.

I still have a copy of Defcon and the two Pixel Piracy coupons. As Steam is acting up, if anyone wants these I'd need an e-mail address as I can't currently send anything directly through the Steam Community outside of gift via e-mail due to the servers being down.

I kind of spoke against myself in my last post about that rule. Technically, I didn't disrespect any and I don't feel like spamming the forum for such a small thing. Maybe the thread should be only accessible for users with at least that minimum post count? That'd also reduce any chance for someone harvesting (which I don't think there is, given the code was available for such long without anyone picking it nd the same happened before).

But yeah, I felt kinda bad when I saw the code wasn't yet redeemed. I've picked up two in a row, coincidently both from Lamont :s

The problem is that even if people don't register to the forums, they can still read the topic. The "50 posts of more" rule works with everything else but digital codes. The only solution i can think about it is to lock the topic to members-only that have 50 posts or more. But that's up with ASSEMbler to decide.

Like i said before, if any of you want to share / get rid of keys, activation links or coupons for any online service, be it gaming or not, just list what it is here and then share it via PM for someone who wants it.

I have been finding that I've got duplicate physical copies with keys for Steam and extra copies digitally. I've already gotten rid of quite a few of them via friends of mine and figured that there might be bit more of a gaming variety on here and figured that the community has been one of the best behaved gaming communities I've been part of so I thought that it wouldn't be too much of an issue to post up some extra keys whilst I'm getting stuff packed away still to move.

That and I thought the marketplace wasn't visible to guests as it wasn't showing up for me the other day when I wasn't logged in.

Thought it would be fine to do so this way as I also often forget to respond to PMs after reading them on my mobile whilst I'm at work (our computer system isn't connected online, otherwise I would use that because I hate responding via my mobile with a passion) and I didn't want anyone thinking that I'm ignoring them if it's slipped my mind. >_<;

Anyway.
