The future of gaming? Omni-directional physical body movement now possible.

So I was browsing Kickstarter and found this. We already have VR wear like the Oculus Rift,the Xbox Kinect, and who knows what all else. So since we have 3D tracking with the Kinect and wearable 3D vision, how do we make movement in the virtual world possible? The Omni makes that possible. Using a Kinect system for PC with the Omni and an Oculus Rift will give the next best thing to realistic movement in games. You can walk, turn, run, jump, crouch, and much more with this setup. Best part is all of it will work on any games that support keyboard and mouse control which most PC games do. The 3D from the Rift or other 3D head wearable displays makes it that much more immersive. Not to mention all the physical movement will help keep the shut in gamers fit or even help those who need to lose weight.

Best part is that this is actually happening. The goal was $150,000 and the drive is currently at nearly $870,000 with a whole month to go.

This would be cool in Crysis 2 on a quad SLI GTX Titan rig with top of line Intel CPU for ultimate gaming experience. Anyone have around $15,000 to spend on that?

Yeah I watched this a few weeks ago. Looks great.

I'm on the pre-order list for the Rift as it looks amazing but I'm not sure how I'm gonna cope with essentially being blind from the outside world while wearing it.
