I second that. The trick is to avoid crap such als NFS underground, FIFA, James Bond... But why stay away from some of the good games EA puts out there, such as Timesplitters Future Perfect(already mentioned)? EA also tends to publish games where they had 0% influence in the creation process.
It's all a silly trend, I own EA games, and I'm proud to say so. No one holds a gun to no one heads over what they buy, or chose to purchase. It appears this long going tired lets hate, EA, Sony and anything else popular is getting old quickly. With that being said I don’t go out of my way to proclaim my hate towards any company at all. I’m looking forward to Godfather, and it really does look good, if you look down on my because I enjoy some EA titles, you are naive person in general.
actually the only james bond game that EA put out that was great was Everything or Nothing. It had great graphics, a decent story and 100% felt like a bond movie. It made the bond stuff evolve to more than a licensed FPS, but I still dont get why they felt that the world deserved to be punished with Rogue Agent. They can make some quality stuff, but it appears to be not the norm..
Err, in Europe EA put out al the Bond games since Agent Under Fire(which remains my fav. bond game on the Cube, I personally hated EoN).
Amen. Hating something just because it has EA on it or your PS2 crapped out 2 years ago is pretty petty. Im not afraid to buy games if they look like I would be interested in them. Thats a true hardcore gamer to me. Sometimes, the "hardcore" will hate something because it is "casual" but IMO its more about personal preferences.
well thats fine and good. I played that one, but thought EoN improved on all of it. It made bond more than a cheesy FPS.
I meant that there were people out there that hate everything Sony, games included, just because their PS2 messed up. Its pretty naive to hate something and all its like just because of one bad happening or two.
What, you mean all this time I've been wrongly thinking that the 360 was EA's console? Why doesn't Microsoft just hand over control of the system, as the charts (at least here in the UK) seem dominated by EA's presence... To end my sarcastic (as if you couldn't already tell) post, I hope the money lost through delaying The Godfather brings EA to its financial knees! If those figures really are correct, will EA's latest failure topple Shenmue as the most expensive videogame ever? Of course ir will, because if the numbers don't add up - much like any pre-release specifications before a Sony hardware launch - then EA can always buy their way into the history books. What was that EA catchphrase again? "Challenge Everything?!"
I agree, after the conspiracy against the Dreamcast and the EA spouse scandal I think they should go straight to hell. I enjoyed C&C generals tough.
