The Great Assembler video collaboration!

Ok...lets do this every time somebody on here has a new video series I'm more or less jumping at the chance to say "lets do something together"

and since Retrocade Fantasia is so long there's plenty of room for me to have an episode or two where you all contribute a segment. I'm thinking of doing this for Episode 10 and I'm working on 7 now then the 360 Shooting special, and Neo Geo Special then 8 and 9 so there's alot of time for us to plan it.

I don't have a paticular theme or anything so I'll give you guys a two choices

1. A segment where you guys do whatever you want on anything

or

2. The one thing that unifies us all is our love for Sega, We can all do something related to a Sega related subject For example Ports of Sega games on the Famicom, Sega just after they went 3rd party, the History of Virtua fighter, the best of the master system, but really it's up to you I have no requrements

Only thing I as is that the video be 4:3 and 640 x 480 I usually encode the show at 1500kbs to have a good balence beetween size and quality (usually it's a WMV that is then converted to DIVX) so keep that in mind for your bitrates if it's higher than 1500 kbs it usually turns out looking ok.

Alright lets kick some ideas around

 

I'm down. Got a couple ideas for either choice.

For the first, I may just get sloshed and then play something. It's usually entertaining after the fact and I have a lot of fun during. I get pretty loud.

I'll have plenty of time this week to whip something out (I'm one of those guys who is busy on the weekends and does jack-shit on weekdays).

 

Sounds great and it's ok to take digs at me too I have self deprecating humor esp on this show.

We have plenty time I'm not doing this episode for a while at the earliest it'll be after the 360 shooting special (which I'll start shooting as soon as Bulletsoul and ESPGaluda II get here I'm not waiting for Otomedeius Exellent since Konami keeps pushing it back)

I would like to do a segment (probably a game review or something similar.) Either option is good for me.

 

Since you have the UCDB you could do something about obscure hardware. I need more of that

Most obscure thing I have is the Sega Sports DC

 

I'll do a 360 shooter. I know, the one by 5bp that everyone hates. I love it though. I'll encode it at 1080p since that's what my 360 runs in then convert it down. May look crap in 640x480.

Oh Bullet Soul? I'm waiting for it to arrive now. I downloaded the demo last week it reminds me of the old Raizing/8ing shooters.

 

Yep, that's the one. The so called hard core shooter fans think it's poor due to the scoring system. They fail to see it as a good old classic blast like from the good old days of Batsugun. All the hard core shooting fans seem to care about is their score. Sure, the game has faults but it's still great fun.
