I saw this movie today and thought it was pretty good. There's one thing that I've been thinking about since I saw it, though. I saw an interview where the director said the movie took place in 2004. One of the characters in the movie plays Gears of War. Gears of War came out in 2006. That's an error. Am I right?

Movies and TV have gotten much better but little stuff like that still plays second fiddle to the big picture.

but did it at least have atari 2600 quality beeps and blips, or talking about "points"?

Otherwise, it wasn't the proper "hollywood" style representation of them vidya gaems.

No, it didn't. I was actually pretty glad about it at first because I thought, "Hey! They actually used a real game in a movie for once, rather than coming up with a stupid fake one!" And then I realized the anachronism.
