Halo 3 is so far Awesome, Awesome Multiplayer as you'd expect, Decent Graphics, Immerseive Campaign, Decent story. I feel it lives up to it's hype but doesn't exceed it. Bioshock Looks amazing It's just as immersive as Halo 3 maybe even more so with the dark surreal atmosphere. There's nothing more sastisfying than taking down a Big Daddy and Harvesting a little sister's ADAM. In some ways Bioshock reminds me of the overlooked XBOX semi Classic Breakdown. Only thing hold Bioshock back is the lack of Multiplayer. But there's shadowrun for FPS multiplayer with other worldly powers now isn't there.......... I can't call this one It's a Tie for me they're both awesome.
Given that I bought Bioshock and don't really want to spend any cash on Halo3 right now, my choice was made for me by economic factors intermingled with release dates. Loads of people I knew were telling me I'd love Bioshock. Thus far, I've just not had the time to switch it on and spend more than 5mins on it. Halo3 however does look very good graphically, despite what I gather is a rather lacklustre storyline (but Halo2 made little sense either). You buy it for the fun of playing the game rather than believing (or caring) in any storyline - imho.
Bioshock is an Excelent game, great graphic, amazing story, cool gameplay elements. But the olny downside is that it's is short and very easy (thanks to the Vita-chambers), and i think that everyone that plays the game will be disapointed with the final boss. On the other side, I've been a fan of the Halo games and i always have liked the games story. But at the moment i don't have a 360 so i haven't played halo 3, I think i will play it when halo 3 vienna comes out(i couldn't play halo 2 until it came out for vista earlier this year) Winner: Bioshock
i doubt that bioshock would be any fun in multiplayer, not at least to the degree halo is. that said.. quake 3 > halo *
Isn't quake heading to XBLA? I can think of a few multiplayer options for Bioshock. Splicers VS Big Daddys Harvest mode (harvest the most little sisters) On top of the usual CTF and Deathmatch modes.
Quake 1 is the pits these days. Q3 is still great, but I can't run it effectively in widescreen mode.
yeah, you play halo 3 for the multiplayer. you can't play bioshock with a bunch of friends at a lan party.
I thought BioShock had a more engaging plot and offered a much better single-player experience than Halo 3. I found Halo 3 to be much shorter than BioShock. I loved Halo's outdoor environments where everything wasn't always dark. BS had the better graphics, mood, etc. For replayability, Halo 3 definitely wins with its ability to play with forge, theater and all the online ability.
I agree with this. If you are looking for a singleplayer game that delivers, get Bioshock. There is enough variety to get at least two playthroughs (Good and bad end) through the game, and come back for achievements and other things. Halo 3 has a OK campaign that is so-so if you play it alone, but awesome if you play it with a friend (Its still too short, I beat it in co-op with a friend in about 6 hours). The multiplayer is like Halo 2's was, only with somewhat crappier maps (Still very fun, though).
Don't know if there is much more to be said other than whats already been stated, but Halo 3 co-op legenary is some of the most fun I have had in a while. I appreciate Bioshock for its macabre atmosphere and completely immersive storyline - and both games have gotten me to yell out loud due to stressful situations lol
Bioshock: singleplayer, sublime graphics that are way better then halo 3 and an awesome mood setting Halo 3: Best multiplayer ever on a console, will last you for years, just keep the mute button handy for all those fuck assed teenagers that think they are all "nigga gangsters"
god i hate playing online against people that don't know how to be civilized. Its the type of people you'd break their face if playing a friendly soccer match.
or just get your rank into the 30s and 40s and you instantly start playing with guys that ARE A LOT cooler than all those dumb kids at the lower levels.
I don't usually play multiplayer games, so Bioshock is the best one of the two for me. The story is great and the atmosphere is amazing. However, Halo 3 co-op was way better than I expected and really fun to play with a friend.
I really like Halo and got the legendary (and normal because I couldnt wait) edition but the story was so generic and bland, the ai and weaponry unoriginal that I thought it was 6/10 (for single player) , multiplayer is always good but as its the same halo practically I find myself not jumping up and down over it considering as how I played it to death in number 2.
