I haven't had a cellphone in years (Yes I'm a Dinosaur but I just don't like being connected all the time) but I have to admit the new ads that apple's been running have gotten me interested in getting one again. But not at that price. $500-600 US plus a two year contract is just too pricey even if it is cool as hell. I figure I'll wait till the price drops in half but I was wondering what all of you thought of it and what you'd pay?
I have no interest in it. Apple as of late has been putting out some (IMO) real unappealing products, and the iPhone and AppleTv rank right up there. It's a phone with a touchscreen. Yay. Most people usually just throw their cell phones into their pocket or pocket book...even with the optical glass, that screen is going to look mighty bad after a few weeks of normal use. Factor in the $500+ price + the cost of a 2 year monthly data plan and you're looking at spending well over $2,000 to be an early adopter for this. No thanks. Apple needs to focus less on iPods and iPhones and a little more on computers.
It does look like it could be a good product, but I will get one when the iPhone 2.0 with 3G and a 5MP comes out in white, then pick one up second hand on the cheap.
It looks amazing but I think it will be far to big to be a mobile phone and also the price is more than a PS3 which is just stupid. I will pass unless it comes down in price
I really like the new Helio Ocean more then the iPhone. I LOVE those commercials they have with the little robots building them and using them and the music is so awsome lol. I have never owned a cellphone (im 21) because I didnt need it and I dont like carrying electronics around because I cant stand to have stuff in non mint shape but damn I want the ocean so bad. They are like 400$ and are being called the best cellphone other then the iPhone lol. I recommend anyone with cash to spend looking at phones at least have a look at the ocean. As for the iPhone I dont like apple so I wouldnt get it anyway.
People are going to get mugged for these things. Most I'm willing to pay is $150, anything more and I'd feel foolish.
When they finally bring them out here and my contract runs out I'll probably look to upgrade to one. Hopefully by then it'll have 3G and a good/better camera
