Yeah, most of you will already know, that Nintendo has shown the new Zelda videogame at E3 2010. What do you think about the "cellshading"-look? IMO it's a mix between Twilight Princess and Wind Waker and it really looks, how to say, smooth. As far as I know, this Zelda game doesn't have the "going to dungueons"-style anymore. So for everybody, here are some videos: Offcial Trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHn_-_O55_k E3 Gameplay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmlZhxJL3Ps Interview with Miyamoto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVzivLrfYbk
The E3 presentation had major issues. But not to worry as people who testing the game on the show floor have said it works pretty well so I will just call it down to the Wi Fi issues in the room similar to what happened with the iPhone 4 with Apple the other week. Now for the game. Art wise I really like it. Its like a cross of TP and Wind Waker which is a good mix to me. But I just hope Nintendo doesn't over gimmick it. Not really liking the idea of Link coming down from the sky in the story sounds pretty lame but I will hold judgement till I hear more and get a hands on with it later this year.
I have to say that eventhough Zelda is one of my favorite franchises, I'm not crazy about the graphics... TP style would have been the best way to go in this game I think... Maybe the reason for choosing this particular style is that they don't want players to think they're playing TP all over again. In any case, I don't quite get the part of not going to dungeons anymore. What's the deal? One thing they could improve though, and that was lacking in all of the Zelda games I've played (and I haven't played them all) is that it'd be good if after you beat a boss, you could choose and fight him again once you've beaten the game.
It looks like a ton of fun, and the beetle arrow is just awesome. Rolling bombs like wii bowling? Yes please!
Sadly it doesn't excite me very much. The graphics look quite bland and lacking any flair. Also, it looks like the same old Zelda.. the same sort of puzzles we have seen before, and look! A big bug boss! Yawn.. I want it to excite me. They really need to mix it up with very new things.
I was hoping to be impressed by the graphics like I was with Galaxy and its sequel. Alas, I wonder why they didn't go for that engine and used an updated TP engine..or did they?
Apparently not in an interview with Shiggsy. He said if it had used the TP engine the game would be done by now. So I guess they started from scratch.
Hello everyone, I am looking forward to Skyward Sword, it looks like it will be a interesting game. I thought the graphics for Twilight princess were well done. I haven't seen too much video from Skyward Sword, so I really haven't seen what the game is like. How does the game look so far? Bye. :cur_sonic: :luigi:
