I was wondering if anybody has information on this game or if there is a known copy of it. From what i can tell this was going going to be one three games for the gameboy color but only oracle of seasons and ages got released.
I don't know of any copies of this ever being released. Considering they were originally planning on releasing three games but reduced it to two solely because of the password system, most of the gameplay elements from it were likely condensed into Ages and Seasons. IGN has four screenshots. Notice how Maple's wearing a bow -- perhaps she and Rosa were originally the same character? There appears to be a thornbush as an obstacle, that dies in winter. Also, there are two unused songs in the Oracle of Seasons music engine.
I believe that at one point the original LOZ game was going to be part of the 3 games released. The proof being in some of the older screens for the this series, one of them showing Link facing off against the dragon boss at the end of the first dungeon in The Legend Of Zelda. I think the series was to be called something along the lines of the "Triforce Series". I also just checked out the wiki page for Oracle of Ages/Seasons, and apparently, it says that at one point Capcom had planned SIX Zelda games for the GBC. Two older games, with the other four being new ones. It's source being this old IGN article-http://gameboy.ign.com/articles/069/069154p1.html It is unknown which of the older games other than the original LOZ were planned to be remade. Zelda II is the most likely contender, but this is only a logical guess if anything.
I've heard that the Triforce Trilogy was going to have a remake of Zelda II as well, and then an original game. The fact that the first game was planned is still shown by the fact that Seasons has six of the bosses from the first Legend of Zelda in it.
