if anyone still care about the matrix universe smt022) here's the official website of the path of neo: http://www.atari.com/thematrixpathofneo/ it seems to be way more refined than ETM, i just hope the level designs are as far as the etm ones ( the first level in etm is ok, but it's the only exception of the whole game, the other levels are long, boring, and incredibly repetitive... you go north.), that the gameplay have more dept and doesn't feel like you're watching everything hapening and that everything is polished this time. but i doubt they can do worse than etm. what's your opinion about the trailer? notice that the game is now coming on xbox and pc.
The trailer has impressive spots, but the game still seems to look a bit "beta". Look, maybe this game will breathe some life back into whatever remains of the Matrix universe... but really, the sequels just killed it. I hope the game has many elements from Animatrix. An Animatrix game would have rocked a lot more than ETM. If this game doesn't turn out to be a total trainwreck, I might think about getting the PC version. I hope it's a fun game - and can be played in a dynamic matter, but also, I wish it has enough homage to a great film. Matrix size shoes are hard to fill, and the sequels and games fell seriously short - so, as another fan of the original and Animatrix, I say let's look at this one with some skepticism so we're not disappointed.
That's a very healthy atitude Xerdo. Also, I would like to add the following: NO GAMECUBE VERSION??!! I HATE YOU FOREVER DAVID PERRY!! ARGHGH
The last movies killed the matrix for me. White dread ghosts, one of the wachoski brothers becoming a woman, monica belucca not coming over after my many calls to her house and the fact that neo is carried off like king aurthor in the end of excalibur just did it for me.
Matrix: an anime wannabe merged with the Aeonflux concept Honestly, all the hype around the 1st movie was becos for the mainstream "its cool to see ppl dying" :die They should gang rape perry and trow him in a garbage can. Then go and hire the guys that made Riddick :smt033
Nah, the first movie did, in fact, influence audiovisual aesthetics a lot, even if it did borrow many elements from 80s and 90s anime - and it was kind of deep for an action flick, and, of course, discursively has quite a bit of subversive undertones. The sequels, on the other hand, just plain suck ass. Yeah! Rape him with rusty streetlamps and broken bottles! and stuff.
