Lament their demise, add to the list, argue about who has or might have a copy.

Surprises on the list (for me, at least):

Shenmue 3 - Yu Suzuki claiming we would see more Shenmue on the XBox?

100 Bullets - It only ever got a PAL release?

Fallout 3 - Would have loved to play this, or are they talking about Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel?

Oh man, Armada 2. I remember waiting and waiting for that, and finally gave up.

And holy crap, Red Star is actually coming out (although for PS2)? And in less than 2 weeks? And at budget price? I hope it doesn't suck.

I really wanted Rent-A-Hero. Would have been the next closest thing to another Shenmue. The game WAS fully translated and for all intents and purposes ready to go (even reviewed in Polygon Magazine), yet it just faded into obscurity.

I have Red Star and 100 Bullets (Acclaim versions, PS2 & Xbox)

Red Star is a lot of fun, 100 Bullets had some potential, but turned into a typical 3rd person shooter.

Shenmue 3 was NEVER annouced, Fallout game was Brotherhood of Steel . Fallout 3 only came around after Bethesda grabbed the license. IGN is really asleep at the switch on this.

spot778, you might want to re-read the Fallout info. If you check where it links to :

The article is dated a few months after Fallout Brotherhood of Steel came out in the USA, and there is also this quote from the article :

Shenmue is being made into an East Asian MMO. I believe China/Korea is getting it rather than Japan (not sure why). So long as Yu Suzuki lives and is in the gaming business he will see that Shenmue gets finished somehow, even if that means a series of books and cosplay.

The Shenmue MMO is already out actually, but I haven't heard good things about it. A typical grinding MMORPG with little to connect it to the franchise.

Thanks Joe, didn't notice that !

Ape where are you getting your Suzki info ? He's still in the biz but far removed from where he once was. He had nothing to do with VF5 which is a first. Shenmue is dead. Much as I hate to say it that's a fact. Not to mention both titles flopped.
