The mystery of R-Type for FM-Towns solved?

    For reference: EGM issue #4 November 1989:

    There was never any evidence of R-Type's existence for FM-Towns.

    But I saw this today:



    A lot of text in the description and the English isn't good.
    It was some sort of PC-Engine emulation with CD sound.

    Surprised, but not surprised.

    I'm seeing quite a bit of slowdown on the R-Type game in the vid.

    Indeed. But given that this may not have been an official product, and is definitely FM Towns having to run a PC-Engine emulator, in 1989 using a 16 MHz 386, it's not surprising.
