Does the DS's second screen has the same resolution and colors as the main one? If so, I hope some softhouses can use it for something else than map/stats
Re: Inflammatory Remarks No one is forcing you to buy it. Also, the pics are just prototypes. Remember the original GBA shown at E3...they looked slightly different and were different colours.
Alright, just directed toward The_Squeege right now but said in general as I've been seeing a lot of it, the Quote feature is used for quoting small bits of text from sources that you want to respond to. PLEASE do not use it to quote entire posts, especially when they are lengthly posts like mine, a mere 2 positions above this. Just do a pointer, "In response to so-and-so's post" or just Quote the sentences you want to discuss. I already spent 10 minutes writing the damn thing, I don't want to have to read it twice on my way to the bottom of the post. :smt023 That being said, I guess I don't understand what relevance the statement about "nobody forcing me to buy it" has to my post. In fact, I stated several times that just from the look of things, I am excercising my freedom to NOT buy the DS, and illustrating why I felt so let down by this announcement. I thought this was a thread for discussion on the DS, good AND bad, not just posts of how cool you think it is or how you're going to start a First Church Of Nintendo Rocks or anything like that, and thinking it was a discussion, I posted my opinions and that's that. I'm very well aware that I don't have to buy it, and am thankful for that freedom. I guess my big point was that I honestly was thinking of buying the thing, but in a fashion typical of the last several years, Nintendo has let me down once again. And yes, I know the GBA had a prototype stage before its release, but we all saw how little it changed by its final release. I think the most to hope for on the DS is a bit of a color change, which sadly isn't going to redeem the thing in my eyes.
Hooray for another pile of crap handheld, which probably runs off old 64 hardware and will have 100's of 64 ports like the GBA. :smt009 Anyone else getting tired of Mario and Starfox?
GSL, to be fair, you haven't so much as touched the system. I think you should decide on buying it after you've played it, not based on grainy video or a picture on the internet...who knows, maybe you'll change your mind.
Well, 'to be fair' then, nobody else here has touched the thing, so maybe people should wait for a while before praising the thing first, as well? :smt043 Don't get so bent out of shape, it's merely my opinion as I stated several times, and I believe I'm entitled to that just as much as the people who think that the DS is going to be great. Unless you want to go chasing them about forming premature opinions as well?
