The original NES doen't have what it takes to even run super mario land!!

This thread is funny. You don't even have to know anything technical about the consoles to disprove the sensationalist title: what does Super Mario Land do that SMB 3 (a perfectly fine NES game) can't?

 

Well. The gameboy has more than enough power to run smb3, so disproved.

 

Not that I distrust you, but do you have any links to that? SMB3 is my favorite game, so that'd be wild to see. I doubt it though, seeing as SMB3 is in color.

 

I don't understand how you think that the gameboy having "power to run smb3" disproves what I just said (claim: NES is underpowered for Super Mario Land? False since even the SMB1 engine is more capable than Mario Land's). Also, CITATION NEEDED.

 

Yes. How many units of "power" does SMB3 take to "run"? 5? 10? 72? How many power units does the Gameboy have?

Seriously now, the Gameboy cannot "run" SMB3. SMB3 is a NES program. Could SMB3 have been ported or remade on the Gameboy? Sure, you can always alter things enough to get them to work on the hardware you are working with. But most of this topic is just nonsense.
