I think we have two gay members here, but who knows... maybe more. I'm extremely impressed with the level of maturity on this board... especially given the fact that we do have a few younglings here. Anyways, I believe the polls are anonymous... maybe we can find out more about out community.

My personal story. I had a close cousing come out of the closet when I was 15, so was pretty tolerant from a young age. The clubs I went to when I got into college featured just about any mix of person you could think of... nobody cast judgement though. I really felt at home. My right-wing, gun-toting friends of course, thought I was gay, and like right-wingers, told everyone else that I was. Oh, well. Fuck 'em.

    Sigh
This thread was made after I got a little too mad and posted "gay" in a bad context, too...

Dont worry, you wont see that from me, anymore.

Never tried, never will. Been called gay before in highschool but they were asshole jocks. I'm an open-minded person and it doesn't matter to me if you're gay or not.

Yes, but it was inspired by Xerdo's post... not yours. I don't think anyone took offense to your use of the comment... we know you were letting off steam.

    This thread interests me.

    First off, I'm not gay.

Still though, I'm not some sort of manly man who has to be the most "ungay." I can recognize and refer to a man as attractive without feeling feeling the need to compensate by lifting weights or punching a hole in something.

Now, that out of the way, I have a lot of hot guy friends. No, you ass. I don't want to have sex with them. Unngh.

Everybody always ASSUMES I'm gay. Wearing pink shirts to school and loving OMD and Girly anime... well, I'm not surprised. My former girfriend used to say "Boy! why is everything I love ALWAYS gay?" While her way of saying "I love you" was certainly weird, I felt flattered.

I'm not very gay. While I do like Hyde from L'arc en Ciel a lot, I consider myself heterosexual. I was not a "practicing" Heterosexual until very late in my life (I hadn't kissed a girl until I was 22) - but I'm straight.

A very effeminate heterosexual who has more female friends than male friends, loves DoReMi dolls, Galaxy Fraulein Yuna, Electro-Pop, Gothic stuff, the colour pink and writes for a living.

Some good friend of mine once said, when I was complaining about a streak of bad luck in dating: "The thing, Xerdo, is that you happen to be a Homosexual that unfortunately likes women". It was right, but it helped me get only the best possible matches for me, even if my start to dating was... let's say very slow.

And, Mister Casual, don't take it that seriously, dude. I really didn't want to be mean or anything. I don't like that use of the word, but I wasn't trying to yell at you or anything, man. I didn't take offence of the comment. Don't worry - we know you're going through a rough patch and need to let off steam.

I personally see sexuality as a private affair, and not really a topic belonging on a video games board.

A topic like this invites commentary, and if someone said "I hate all fags" then what?
It creates a flame war, pointless discusions and detracts from the board.

Given people should be free to choose whatever hole they put their thingy thing in, this topic is closed.
