Theres some that just wander the streets near me. It's so odd to just be driving along and then all of a sudden theres a peacock on the road just walking. They're loud and obnoxious when they aren't in sight
Way more majestic than the Australian Bush / Brush Turkey... and they attack kids? That's makes the peacock win in my book! Enjoy some of the most stupid bird I've ever come across.
There's some that live down the road from me. They can be loud, but damn do they look cool. They don't seem too afraid of cars though, sucks when you gotta hammer your brakes for a peacock. I'm pretty sure they would just let you run them over.
If I can I drive around them while only slowing down slightly to try to let them know that no, not all cars will just stop for your dumb ass. They don't even seem phased by this though..
Did you know the japanese for peacock is Kujaku. its also used in a japanese manga and MD game called kujaku ou (peacock king) Please do not condone the action of attacking children. His actions where unjust and as a result the peacock should be imprisoned.
Someone near me has three, didn't know they fly. I used to love going to the zoo as a kid and watching them. My two cents pileated woodpeckers and owls are cooler.
They are everywhere in Florida keys, and are annoyingly loud. If you think feral roosters are annoying, you will despise peacocks. Imagine 20 calls like this at the same time from 3am to 8am
I hate peacocks. My uncle used to have them on his farm and let them roam and breed. They would roost on my aunts car and sit in a tree and screech in my aunts window.
When I was a kid my neighbours next door used to have a couple of peacocks which were screaming all day. ALL THE DAMN DAY. Things got ugly when my baby sister started imitating that sound
I used to have some peacocks. Never had any problems with them around kids. No doubt they could have done some serious damage if they wanted to though. They could be very loud and annoying though. That was the main reason we got rid of them.
Used to have 3 peacocks that just wandered onto my property and hung around for about 3 months. Woke up one morning and my dog had killed all 3 of them and most of my chickens. Gave away the dog a week later, can't have something that kills chickens hang around. Plus I have animals that would probably kill the dog if he tried to attack them.
