I had dreams of a video arcade basement until the flooding around these parts today. Unless I find a big hill my dreams are destroyed!

That's just because no one bothers to construct houses (especially their foundations) decently anymore. Luckily, I have some architectual experience, so if/when we ever build a house I will be able to make sure that it can withstand a little rain and snow.

The problem with such a small place is you'll need a kitchen for all your food and pop, heating for it, and you can't just go when you're bored, you have to drive there, and that takes effort. Long live the basement!

A little rain and snow is not a problem. Flash floods are the issue.

Aye, at the very least the place would need a shower/loo room, a small sink area and a work top. As long as its got mains electric the cooking bit is easy (plug in hob/microwave). Nice idea for a bed sit type place, shame I just about to buy a place elsewhere.

My biggest worry about the place you are looking at Gleavepaul would be security. If you don't live on the site and you have it filled with entertainment gear then it would become a major target if word got out.

Lol yeh posting it on the net prob wasn't the best idea.
Sadly its unlikely ever to happen certainly for this place anyway. Its a nice idea and does have some potential. But the timing isn't right.

I think the best place ever is a good ventilated roof top! Absolutely safe from eventual water higs and similar :p
