So at the beginning of the summer I made a thread about how I couldn't remember a summer with more games coming out and here we are again and a TON of games are coming out......after Christmas. Just looking at my preorder list Berserk Horizon Zero Down Resident Evil 7 Tales of Berseria Touhou Genso Wanderer- Physical edition Tekken 7 Yakuza 0 And that's just before March OH then the Switch is coming out. XBOX One has Scalebound, Then Gravity Rush 2 is coming out. I don't think there's much between now and Christmas other than the annualized games, The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy XV. It's a packed couple of months, and I can't recall a time where there wasn't a game avalanche followed by another game avalanche....AFTER Christmas.
they finally realized the mistakes of sonic 06 and gave more time to polish games and not rush it for christmas
We clearly have very different tastes, I can't name many games I'm excited for right now. At the the top of the list is Dishonored 2, then there's only Watch Doges 2, Final Fantasy XV (which I'm only excited about because it looks nothing like a Final Fantasy game), and Mario Maker on 3DS.
You'd be surprised at the amount of people out there think exactly that, I got shit on by all my friends recently when they discovered that I hate Super Mario 64 for being a terrible game.
What's there to hate about Mario 64? If you want to see 2D to 3D gone wrong don't look further than Sonic Adventure
Everyone can have her/his own opinion for sure. But in my opinion, Super Mario 64 controls are very good (at least, there where very good when the game came out, with the controllers availables at that time, with an all new controller joystick !). I remember seing my little brothers playing the game for the first time (at something like 3yo). They had no troubles dealing with the controls as the controls where pretty "natural" (like the controls of the first Super Mario Bros). But if I play the game today, I am not really sure that the controls will still be good for me. As I have played many platformer games since then, my opinion may change. Maybe @DeChief hasn't played the game when it cames out. One thing is sure, controls in Bosses Level are pretty bad (due to the fixed camera). One other thing is sure, other platformers from that time (like Starshot Space Circus) has very bad controls !
I agree, everyone can have their own opinion. I thought the controls were pretty tight apart from some camera issues but no where near as bad as Sonic Adventure.
Only thing I hate about SM64 is the camera. It's not a super amazing game, it's good but I wouldn't say "greatest". It's a matter of opinion, if your friends give you shit for having a different opinion, fuck them. It's ok to be different. I've had people (even ones I saw on a regular basis) unfriend me on facebook purely because I had a different opinion. Shows how weak people like that are. It just seems you're more open minded then just a cult following on whatever it is.
I've never played Mario 64 nor do I ever plan to. But I will get whatever 3D Mario comes with the Switch. I forgot about Sonic Mania coming out in March VERY excited for that. I like Sonic Adventure, more so than it's sequel, mostly because there are more Sonic stages compared to it's sequel.
Nothing wrong with Sonic Adventure. Not one thing. 0%. Niets. Nada. Noppes. Nic. Also, Tekken 7 takes way too freaking long to get released. Hurry your asses up, Namco!
Only the first level is good, the rest play badly and aren't even a sixteenth as fun as Sonic 1, 2, or CD. But of course, that's just my opinion.
Far as I can tell Tekken 7 hits in March and will like Tag 2, be the ONLY thing I play for a few months.
Fuck you all and the way these threads devolve quickly nowadays. Don't talk shit about Sonic Adventure!
