How did you start at Assembler ??? Everyone had to be a noob sometime . Mine To find you first post click on yourself and select find all posts by this member in your public profile .
Some of us cant tell you as its all back in the old old board. Edit actually this is a totaly useless subject for anyone with more then 500 posts. As the site only searches for the last 500.
Well, I've been here probably the longest now except for maybe Johnny and Antipasta if he was still coming here. Ah, the good old EZ Board before the adds came with only one mod being FFPLAY. I think my first ever post was asking about a clone of something or other. Yakumo
My first post was very recent indeed and I was translating the name of a game (raiden). It was my first post in any forum, ever I might add. Infact this is the only English language board I post on, the others are all Japanese.
All I know is that someone yelled at me after my first post. The first response I ever got here was "MAKE YOUR AVATAR PIC SMALLER" Without the please or anything. And it wasn't from a mod, either. Other than that first impression, it's been great to be here. It was back when the boards still were black and red.
My first post on the ez boards was where I in some ways "defended" Yakumo-sama against his wife, who thought he was insane, because he heard gametunes in TV on several ocasions, and I told him, that DR1 had used MGS sounds in their shows, and some other shows, where they had used in other shows, than just Rapporten (old Danish very good show), some years ago, where they showed the rottennes in many Danish buisness things. among them was a food scandal boiling where Mærsk Mc Kinney Møller was introduced, because the "scandal" was about one of his chains (Bilka to be more exact). And a special thing, while we are talking about it. Denmark has a new, and fucking bigger bad food scandal boiling again, and the case goes uphill, meaning the politicians are involved too :-( And my first PM was also to Yakumo-sama on ez boards, where I asked him what a spinecard was, and then he told me, and I answered him that if he did like Depeche Mode and if he had the Japanese version of ULTRA with the spinecard (I saw that version, before I knew what the spinecard was, even though I looked directly at that spinecard, when I saw the album). And eh said, that he hadn´t bought music in a long time, and he did like Depeche Mode
http://pub39.ezboard.com/bassembler19279 I found a post by using google, but for some reason the index wont show anything, maybe if you log in....
wow now that is what I call evolution . Who would have thought that any great site would come out of ezboards?? And i got a sig repromand for my first post too .
I think it was the other way around, the board came out of the site, which was an amazing collection of information back in the day. The assembler.roarvgm.com site still is, but others have caught up. Way back when, I remember finding it and not knowing about any of the hardware on it. It was like a treasure trove. Ezboard was horrible, though. It would never remember my login.
I joined about a month or so before the EZboards went tits up. I have no clue what it was about, but I'm sure it was a very enlightening post.
I visited the EZ board for quite awhile...my first post was about...Turbo Grafx games, I think. I found myself with a Duo...and was sorta looking for somebody to push me into importing PC Engine stuff...long story short. I did. Then there was phpbb...then this one. Yay! Haha, remember how nobody liked this board color scheme at first? Edit: I feel I should note that I didn't even notice the message boards for a week after finding ASSEMbler...I spent my time religiously reading every page on the site...damn...that stuff was sooo far ahead of everybody else.
Lol, I didn't even notice the boards till a year after seeing the site back in 04', then I registered exactly a year and a day ago today. I think it was about a blank GD-R but somehow the picture didn't show up and people started making jokes.
