Are they joking? They're presenting this thing as some sort of 'revolution' - but what exactly is it? It's a flat screen tv with the cables hidden round the back. There is absolutely NOTHING new in this IKEA TV but this promo reel almost makes you think they invented the television? "Only 1400 Euros?" Yeah, buy a regular tv for 300 - then buy something that we in the trade call a 'television stand' and save yourself 1000 Euros. Also, for a multi-billion dollar company, you'd think they could proofread the subs before they send them out - "where" not "were" One final thought, I suspect at least a few of those interviewees are actors, nobody could be that surprised looking at that junk.
LOL. We sell B-Tech mounts where I work too, they got the option to slide in/out of furniture or walls since a long time. Something like this actually: Also: TADAA! (check the first comment for lulz)
Well, the TVs of course will be rebranded from an existing TV manufacturer (like most home-brands out there: Insignia, Dynex, etc); I just hope they go with a quality brand... though unlikely. I'm worried about how people will go when the TV needs to be serviced... "Send your furniture-TV to our headquarters and we'll fix the TV for you"... kind of inconvenient for so many reasons...
This reminds me of a conversation about the iTV I had in another forum So at the end of a looooong dicussion the only "pros" of a iTV would be better industrial design Guess IKEA beat apple to it... On another subject, I'm getting tired of this fear of technology bullshit, by looking at that trailer it seems some of the people there are even proud of being complete idiots who can handle something as simple as connecting a HDMI cable, or installing a cable hub to keep the wires from hanging all over the place
