    Hello fellow gamers!

As is the custom with internet forums I shall now introduce myself, I am Gaijira a new-ish collector of retro and obscure gaming.
I mainly focus on Sega games and consoles just because they are what I grew up with, from the first console I played being my brothers Mega Drive
with Sonic 1 to my actual first console being a Dreamcast.

I am somehow glad that I still appreciate fun gameplay mechanics over the current "gamer" stance of "if it ain't new it's shite" like many of my fellow college and university chums, and I have gathered a collection of consoles over 1 or 2 years, so far including:

    -Mega Drive EU PAL
    -Dreamcast PAL
    -Saturn model 2 PAL
    -Atari 2600 jr
    -PSone (small model) PAL
    -PS2 - PAL
    -Xbox 1 PAL
    -Xbox 360 PAL

and in the mail I have coming:

-Mega Drive 2 Asia PAL (quite proud of this as it unboxed and I presume unsold stock from about 1994 perhaps?)
-Dreamcast NTSC-J (solely for Segagaga and a non dubbed version of Shenmue 1, I was lucky enough to get the PAL version of Shenmue II)
-Saturn model 1 NTSC-J (solely for the games that made the Saturn a success in Japan, I.e Thunderforce, Radiant Silvergun and maybe Sakura Taisen if I can ever understand the language)

So my pride and joy is hardly the greatest collection ever, so I ask for everyone's opinion on what consoles I should focus on? maybe a new console entirely and what games would you recommend for each system?

Fun Fact 1: Gaijira is a combination of the words "Gaijin" and "Gorjira" which when put together make a weird bastard word which probably means "Foreign Godzilla".

Fun Fact 2: Yes I am entirely aware of how unfunny I am, but I do try.

Fun Fact 3: I did self study a little Japanese language and I do plan to study the language abroad some day, not sure why, but hey if I can play Shenmue 1 without that awful dubbing afterward then hey £10,000+ well spent.

I hope that I can learn a lot about the development and the unknown history and facts of video games here!

See you in a thread soon!
