Am I the only one who found it weird that last year Nintendo opened E3 with a joke about fans wanting Mother 3 translated into the US, then right at E3 this year they release a translated version of Mother 1? Don't forget Fallout 4 was announced too.
I'm not sure how to feel about the Silent Hill franchise. When Team Silent disbanded, it was obvious how the future was going to look for the series. Since then, fans have witnessed: Five developers, Silent Hills' cancellation, and Konami's shift to mobile. "That poor fan base" indeed. P. T. was fascinating, and a good proof of the team's abilities. I hope fans find a way to preserve it. In the meantime, I'd be interested to see where Hideo Kojima goes at the end of the year. A Triple-A developer? A Kickstarter? Who knows.
The PC version got a patch/update that allowed for 4 weapons. Also the load times were considerably better. Gearbox doesn't do well with PC-to-console port load times. Look at DC Half-Life as an example; that was their port job. Abysmal load times. Same with 360 and PS3 DNF. http://store.steampowered.com/news/5978/ EDIT: Also in the spirit of suggestions, gotta put DOOM in there. Looks so good.
The version of Biohazard 1.5 known as the "40% build" has been released to the public. It goes by the name "PVB," or "Plain Vanilla Build." I haven't kept up with what's been going on, so I'm not sure how much of the game has been modified/patched to function. For more info, I wouldn't know where to venture besides the 1.5 discussion in the Unreleased Games section. Respectfully, a lot goes on in that topic.
