Is it compatible with the Super Nintendo or do I have to get a Super Famicom?

Actually, I'm curious. Is the incompatibility just physical because of the shape of the American vs Japanese SFC, or will it really not work even if you get around this one way or another?

I think you need a Super Famicom, though the hardware is pretty much useless these days as the satellite radio network (St. Giga irc) is no longer working. And even if it worked you'd need a BS tuner and a BS satellite dish.
Anyway it's a great piece for a collection.

If you have a RAM cart with Satellaview games on it, you can still play them even without the network.

The Satellaview is just a modem. It only fits under Super Famicoms but that's if you just want something cool to look at. There's no service anymore so it doesn't do anything. It's a collector's item, not a usable product.
