Actually, I'm curious. Is the incompatibility just physical because of the shape of the American vs Japanese SFC, or will it really not work even if you get around this one way or another?
I think you need a Super Famicom, though the hardware is pretty much useless these days as the satellite radio network (St. Giga irc) is no longer working. And even if it worked you'd need a BS tuner and a BS satellite dish. Anyway it's a great piece for a collection.
If you have a RAM cart with Satellaview games on it, you can still play them even without the network.
The Satellaview is just a modem. It only fits under Super Famicoms but that's if you just want something cool to look at. There's no service anymore so it doesn't do anything. It's a collector's item, not a usable product.
