When I got my Sega Saturn on ebay ages ago it came in a plastic Brief Case Marked Sega Saturn on the front as seen in this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/Sega-Saturn-System-in-rare-case-games-Rare-lot-NR_W0QQitemZ250139650025QQihZ015QQcategoryZ62054QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem The person selling those items says that the case in question was only used by Sega Reps, Is this true? Is the case really that rare?
I was always under the impression that they were used by blockbuster and similar places when they used to rent out systems. I remember seeing them back then. That doesn't rule out the possibility that they were used by reps as well, but I believe they were rentals for the most part.
They did a lot of them, I have a Virtual Boy one that was from Blockbuster, must have been something they did to keep renters from losing bits, dropping them etc I doubt reps would use them as the store probably had pods adn they could just load the disks up
