The Steam on Linux experience

i heard the 7950 or was it the 7970/7990, is still not rellay good supported on the latest driver(13.1)?
half life 2 deathmatch is running pretty good on my hd7750 with latest beta driver 13.3beta3, but also counter strike source seems to be a little bit better,
but that might be due to a patch that came recently. but serious sam 3 still runs like shit compared to windows on my computer, as far as i can remember,
been a while since i had windows installed..... just bought euro truck simulator 2, still hope they will soon release the linux version on steam.
they already announced it like 2 months back, but recently gave an update that they had problems with input code for controllers.
i still wait till some good games are coming that are worth to pick up.

btw. i found out that not even the mac-os-x version of the source engine has surround support,
so it dosent seem very likely that they will add it in for the linux version i guess .
