The stereo jacks on a CPS2 A-board... what do they do?

I recently picked up a MAS Supernova and a CPS2 a-board, but I can't figure out what the stereo RCA jacks on the a-board actually do. If I connect my TV directly to them, I get no sound at all. However, the built in speaker on the Supernova gets sound, and if I use the RCA jacks on the Supernova itself, I'll get sound through the tv. I've gone through the test menu and haven't seen any option to enable the on-board rca jacks. Are they merely cosmetic, or do they have some alternate purpose I'm not thinking of?

I'm still pretty new to this whole supegun business, but I read feeding unamplified audio to a speaker can damage it, so I guess I should be thankful that it didn't output any sound. Assuming I want to use them to get stereo sound to my TV, what kind of hardware would I need? Is there a dipswitch setting I'm missing to enable them? The sound outputs via the supernova regardless of if I select mono or stereo.

"Unamplified" (line) audio can't damage a speaker but a speaker can damage the line-level driver. Line outputs expect to be connected to a high-impedance input (such as an amplifier) so to the driver a 8 or 4 ohm speaker is a short circuit. (Amplifiers will have at least 10k ohm inputs.)

To get stereo sound to your TV all you need to do is connect the RCA line outputs on the CPS to your TV. You may have to enable RCA output in the system menu.

I forgot to mention. You also might want to play with the 3 buttons on the side of the CPS2. Two of them are for volume when using the RCAs.

    Check the manual I posted.
