watched that the other day, was quite funny. Hopefully it means the new series of top gear is coming soon.
Acording to the official site there will be a new series of Top Gear before the end of this year. Expect it late November (Soon) or early December. Yakumo
It's shit is it? Well what is Fifth Gear then? True, Top Gear isn't as good as it once was but it's far from shit. If you want to see a real shit car show then try to download ITV4's Classic Gear. That was so shit is was cancelled after a few shows. British Car shows in my eyes are as follows. 1. Top Gear 2. Wheeler Dealers (I've learnt so much about car mechanics from that show) 3. Fifth Gear Yakumo
I must agree with that list in that order. Do love Wheeler Dealers and used to have it series linked back when i had Cable TV and a PVR. I like fith gear as a more serious alternative to top gear when i'm more interested in the actual cars rather than the presenters and what they do.
I think the problem with Fifth Gear is that they spend too much time repeating shit they've already said at the beging of the show and stupid contests. Another Channel 5 show, The Gadget Show is the same. They could easily fit in anothr feature if they stopped wasting time.
hmm, You mustn't be in to your cars at all then. How on earth can Wheeler Dealers be shit? That is a very educational bit of programming. If it wasn't for that show I wouldn't have fitted my own exhaust system including the manifold or changed the disc breaks.
He mustn't be into his tv programes either because old top gear got so bad that clarkson left it, then not long after it was cancelled.
Actually, I've only ever seen Top Gear and 5th Gear, so I was wrong to say that. I just hate the format of Top Gear and their stupid challenges. I'd prefer to see real reviews. Also, I don't watch much TV at all. Most is crap. Just because something is popular, doesn't make it good.
Well, just wait till you get to Japan. ALL TV here is shit. I only watch British stuff on my TV. Japan has no special interest shows at all. No car shows, no tech shows, no comedy sketch shows, no real game shows, no entertaining pannel shows. You get the picture.
I think Fifth Gear and Wheeler Dealers are great shows (I see them every now and then on Discovery) but , that Butler lady gets me the wrong way, and it started when she began babbling about wankel engines, and why "she did not understand why it was not called wankel engines in the UK", and her whole "I am blonde, and I am dumb as doornail routine" got me irritated. But here goes anyway, why it is NOT called "wank"el. It is because it is pronounced Vaankel. But other than that, then Fifth Gear is smashing, and well let us just say this. Wheeler Dealers is a program I like a lot, but if I bought a car from them. I would with all my heart clean the car up, and remove ALL the rust in the car. And really shine it up. Cause to me I feel personally, they are just putting make up on corpses, even though I really like that show a LOT.
I love Wheeler Dealers but the host (as opposed to the mechanic guy) makes me embarassed to be human, sometimes. I, too, can see how modern Top Gear has changed (especially recently, as I've been going through series 2 this week)... but I can't imagine not enjoying it anyway. I've never watched 5th Gear. I just don't see why I would need it except for something in between TG seasons, and I've got plenty of other stuff I can get through or even re-watch.
Oh, you mean Mike. Yeah he's a prick at times. Typical cockney dealer. Edd the mechanic is pretty cool though. I've seen him in a few other shows in the past. Yakumo
