right 4th day as a uni student and i drunk more than in the rest of my life and given my self food poisoning but yeah all fun and good, any one else at uni(college)
I start my second year tommorow, not found anywhere to live, commuting from home into central london during rush hour is going to be great fun haha. I knew a guy last year who spent £600 on booze in his first week, gave himself mild alcohol poisoning and didn't even know it untill he passed out in a lecture
:-0 The only way I could spend that much on booze would be a drinking binge in Manhattan. On topic: going back to uni this year too, woohoo ^^
Don't get me started about school. I'm almost done, and could not be any more glad that it's coming to an end. It's a pointless waste of time. For me at least, it was incredibly easy. I do a minimal amount of work and get straight A's. The main reason I want it to be over with is because I want to move somewhere else, and I can't really move until I graduate. Of course I could transfer, but I'm so close to graduating that it'd just drag things out. It's already taken way longer than it should have due to various setbacks. It seems to me that college is useful if you want to start a career in a technical or a scientific field, but otherwise it really serves no purpose other than to be something to put on your resume. Whether that actually makes a difference in anything, I'm not sure. Probably not.
^this Anyhow, I'm a 1st year Commerce student since Sep 7th. Drugs and alcohol can be a fun part of student life, but it's not mandatory to have fun. Personally I like it, but I understand people who don't drink. What pisses me off though are those who regard themselves as missionaries who have to teach us bad boys how partying sober is so much more fun. Anyhow, studying seems fun. Some of the 1st year stuff is a bit too easy if you ask me (and other students agree, esp. those who've already had economy & organizational behavior in their IB) but then again I don't complain. I just want to succeed and pass the 1st year because that's the hardest for international students. There's naturally a high drop out rate among int. 1st year students.
Live and let live . It's fine that they can have fun without alcohol, that doens't mean they have to spoil the fun for others, geez.
Just start college a few weeks ago. However, I'm pretty over the whole drink to get drunk and getting trashed whenever possible. I'll have a drink with some friends or if we go to Vegas but I've kinda grown up a little I guess.
I'm not preachy like that at all, I joke around but if somebody makes that choice it's their choice. I just saw enough bullshit between my grandad smoking & drinking and my mum smoking that I don't bother with alcohol or cigs. I'll have to find a video of my friend eating takeaway funny after getting throroughly sloshed. Partially the reason why I stopped (So I could be alert for moments like that)
14 of you? Fuck ME, I'd hate to think what the shitter will look and smell like by the end of next week :-(
Is the accomodation unisex or single sex? If it's a girl one of them my clean up, If it's all boys, I wouldn't wanna be facilities.
7 guys and 7 girls spreed over a hole floor with 4 bogs between us so yeah the girls are defernatly the tidy ones and us blokes just leave mess every where :'(, pics taken on second day XD http://imgur.com/a/mjKKh (ignore my flat mate in the corner)
Sounds pretty sick if you ask me. College life at home has been almost the same (too much partying lol) and booze, and oddly drugs..
I drank once and I threw up for an hour and i only had 4 drinks, thus the reason why I stick to Mary Jane.
Alcohol can be fun sometimes, but it's easy to go way overboard with it. I've only been drunk a few times, and while it was kinda fun, it's not something I want to do on a regular basis. I'll occasionally drink a beer or two, though.
