RE: The Supergun Deluxe. Hi, could it be feasible for someone to answer these few questions for me please, how easy would it be for a jejune novice of electronics to ‘work’ (plug and play) a supergun and Jamma-board coherently. With regards to the control panel (joypad) which is included can I add another control panel of my own choice i.e. the X-Arcade or slimier product. Will all Jamma-boards PCB work with the supergun? Does anyone know which make/model the supergun deluxe is (MAK), I’ve noticed on Mame emulation that the games runs slower then on the actual arcade machines is this the case for the supergun(s)? Thank-you.

    Kindest regards,

    Work?

Err, plug into tv, plug board to connector, turn on. It is JUST like a console!

Joysticks are wired per machine - you'd need to have them rewired in several cases - ask Raven whether they make theirs to the same joystick pinout as MAS etc.

A "supergun" *IS* an arcade machine, it is NOT emulation. It is a means of playing a JAMMA board on your TV. And yes, it is a JAMMA harness, any JAMMA board will work. Note I said JAMMA board, not arcade board. Some would require a harness, some won't work at all (e.g. old Atari with different voltages).

All makes of supergun are much of a muchness, especially in that you pay through the nose for what you get!!

For what it's worth, I know Raven Games have been making their Supergun machines for over 10 years. I don't know if they are worth the money, but the company is sound and have been reliable to me in the past.

I got my Virtual Boy from them back in the day. :)

Only because he ended his post with "kindest regards." No one who posts on an internet forum is that polite.
