I still need to watch Twin Peaks, too.

I also saw, 'Warrior' in theaters last night. I was very surprised at how good it actually was! I was totally expecting a dumb, mindless fighting movie about MMA/UFC. But was very surprised and blown away by very powerful performances from Tom Hardy and Nic Nolte. My friends and I were just shocked and surprised at how good it was. Best sports movie since Rocky I'd say.

I saw 'Cantagion' last night. Pretty blah film. 'Warrior' was much better.

Speaking of ECW I was watching the last PPV they had yesterday. What a trainwreck, the main event especially. Sandman just botches everything.

Almost done with season 2 of Breaking Bad. So good!

Now following the new seasons of Parks and Recreation and Community. Last weeks episode of Community ("Remedial Chaos Theory") it's one of the best of the entire series. Can't recommend it enough.

Community in general is a great series, a real cult TV show in the making. You can find the first two seasons on Netflix.

Will probably watch a bit of the first season of Mad Men before season 3 of Breaking Bad. I have only seen about 4 episodes of Mad Men, and so far it's been good.

Have not seen House M.D. and The Walking Dead. Might drop both.

When you're done with the series, don't forget to watch the movie. It doesn't contribute much more to the story (except for one very important scene, won't spoil it but if you've seen both the series and the movie you'll know what I'm talking about) but it's a really nice addition, and if you like David Lynch's other movies you won't be disappointed.

For me it's series galore these days, following Curb Your Enthusiasm, Breaking Bad (just started the third season !) and Desperate Housewives (yeah you can laugh, but when you've followed the show for six seasons you kinda wanna know the ending). New fifth season of Big Bang Theory started as well, although I don't find it terribly funny as of now. Hopefully it will pick up in the next few episodes...

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is one of the funniest films I've seen in years, every gag hits the spot without fail. Highly recommended

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3, SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS, DONT READ IF YOU WANT TO WATCH THIS HORRIBLE FILM.

What a fucking TRAINWRECK, makes me wonder whatever happened to suspense thrillers.

Long story short the entire film is through home tapes, A couple are painting a room for the baby on the way when somebody they know drops off some tapes. Next time the camera is on the house has been robbed and is a mess. The only thing gone is the tapes.

Next what we presume to be the tapes are played (one tape in the box you could see clearly was september 88, the rest of the film is in 1988) The couple in the beginning are not addressed for the rest of the film.

It begins with a guy at a birthday party for one of his kids with his wife etc around, all pretty irrelevant stuff. The first big part of the film is when theres an "earthquake" while the two main characters are making a sex tape (lol). the two run out to make sure the kids are ok and on the camera we see dust fall off what looks to be an invisible figure (it literally falls out of nowhere).

After this the guy starts filming 2 key points, The parents bedroom and the kids, during this time the youngest kid gets out of bed in the early hours and talks right next to the camera, this is put down to an imaginary friend, Toby and the father talks to the child about it the next day.

From this point on the film gets FUCKING RIDICULOUS.

Multiple times the youngest kid is caught on camera running around outside the parents bedroom. Even at one point standing at the side of their bed and staring for IIRC half an hour (all this is fast forwarded) they later set up a oscillating fan with a camera on top to get a wide angled view. This catches the youngest climbing on the table and messing with one of the lights. These two incidents are never addressed, atleast in the film, in terms of real life he may have talked to the kid about it but typically when he talks to anybody about these events he records the conversation.

The wide angled view also sets up one of the films suspenseful moments, the babysitter is in the kitchen (where the WAV is if I haven't mentioned this) and jumps in front of the camera, one of my main issues with the film is the parts that are ment to be funny and scary, are often the scariest parts of the film. Another is when the father and his apprentice walk with the camera to find out what is banging they open the door and the WIFE pops out with a mask on in a similar fashion to the baby sitter. These are legitimately two of the scariest moments of the entire film (there actually aren't that many). Mentionable also with the babysitter part is that theres a section where a sheet enters the room, you assume one of the children is under it before the sheet drops. This is the first real hint given there is paranormal activity within the movie. This is caught on camera but, not really taken seriously by the main characters, I don't even think the wife is shown this. Key evidence of paranormal activity is also not even ADDRESSED when the older child is bullying the younger for having an imaginary friend, she climbs inside a small cupboard the younger child claims "toby" is inside. The door SLAMS shut, and there are noises of banging that could be linked to the older child trying to get out but it seems a force is at work too. Did I mention all this is caught on camera and STILL not seen as evidence? Previously the father had a conversation with the younger child and left his camera there recording, it catches the entire exchange, theres also caught on camera when at night the beds are moved around by a force ill describe as a tornado (thats what it seems like it just throws shit around) and the children are scared, the next day the beds are back, again unaddressed or atleast not on tape. The cupboard is linked to the ending, there is a drawing in there that the father finds out is a sign of a cult. after theres an incident where the apprentice and the older child play bloody mary the "force" occurs and craps thrown around, the apprentice also has a claw mark, AGAIN all caught on tape.

The wife refuses to even watch the tapes and also refusest to believe any of it until an incident in the kitchen where the WAV follows her away from the kitchen. when she and the camera move back ALL the appliances and everything on the worktops are gone, suddenly it all drops from the ceiling. She finally believes it and they go to her mothers, this where the film goes FUBAR. They drive there and at night are sleeping, the wife hears car noises and goes to check, she doesn't return and the man eventually goes to look with his camera. The children, the wifes mother (who we come to realise throughout the film seemingly dislikes her daughters husband)and the wife are nowhere to be seen. he keeps walking around with the camera and sees a figure in the window which seems like the mother. He goes to check and she's gone, he finally opens a door and lots of what I thought were old people are there. Presumably, it's the cult.

Theres a chase seen where he runs up the stairs and the wife is there, levitating, she throws herself down the stairs at him and I think she dies, she really doesn't move again and he finds the youngest child and they hide together, they begin to leave and see the older child crying.

he approaches her, brushes her neck and its probably the second to last of the films suspenseful moments. She turns around and screams. He flies back which is again probably the paranormal force and seems to be crippled, the camera lies behind him as he crawls forward, the Wifes mother appears infront of him staring at him, suddenly he contorts in an awkward position and we presume he's dead. The wifes mother then leads the children away and the film ends.

To say this film is worth the £5.70 I paid is a joke. I counted less than 5 scary moments for an 84 minute movie which is, horrific and screams Hollywood cash in with how blatantly rushed this film is and how rushed and whorey the next film will be considering how many loose ends were left open in this film. I haven't seen the other two and don't know how they end (I'm watching the first one currently) but my guess is the cult stuff was thrown in as a way to get the next film going.

I'd classify the film as a suspense thriller but if you compare it to another film that relies heavily on suspense such as halloween, the final chase makes you feel exhilarated which the number of false endings and the ending while blatantly leaving it open for Halloween 2, is a good ending that makes you want to see the sequel, PA's feels rushed and sloppy and just finding a way to keep making sequels.

Sorry if this has wall of text syndrome but I had to rant on how bad it was.

I'm watching (as they come out):

    Dexter (S06)
    Hung (S03)
    TerraNova (S01)

And, going through all the seasons of Farscape :p, just started season 1.

Don't even care to watch House (Season 8) as I saw the first episode and it was BS.
