This is a classic movie. Plot Outline: A boy and his two friends run away from home and hitch cross country to compete in the ultimate video game championship. In this movie they play double dragon, smb3 and even show the power glove. ITs got a ton of nintendo games, actually I think its basically a long nintendo commercial. Ok im guessing were gonna have a few people spamming the forum today. Whats this have to do with general gaming?
Have you seen the movie? move to off topic I guess , sheesh , most gamers I know loved this movie as a kid..
Both this post and your original post could do with some explanation. Posting two pictures and not telling people about them and leaving them to guess isnt the best thing to do.
The Wizard(correct me if im worng) was the outrageously weird movie, in which it featured almost every nintendo item of the day? I've always wanted to see this movie...so i guess, Aug 29 is when i will Ryan
I remember that movie when I was younger and loved it! It was from that that I learned about the second magic warp in Super Mario Bros 3.
The movie was cool only in the sense that it gave us our first glimpse of Super Mario 3 and the Power Glove in action. A really big deal back in those days...my friends and I all went to see it at the local theater.
finnally a us release, it always seemed odd it had a european only dvd for awhile, who could forget it being used for the first showing of mario brothers 3
Maybe it's just me, but this movie wasn't too enjoyable when I watched it a few weeks back. The way I remembered it there were a lot more scenes with people actually playing games. Towards the end of the movie you see more "hot game playing action", but the majority of your time will be spent watching Beau Bridges getting into altercations with a private detective(or whatever he was supposed to be) and listening to the little kid saying "california". There were still some greatly nostalgic scenes like the power glove and mario 3(obviously), but they were few and far between. Though I'll probably still pick up the dvd if I can get it for 10 bucks ;-)
Personally I actually enjoy the Super Mario Bros. movie. Forget it's supposed to be based on a game and it's a stand alone movie and it's not bad. The Wizard wasn't bad, but I haven't seen it since I was 8 or so.
I wonder what that kid savage is doing right now........snorting some cocaine with the rest of B-movie child stars?
