I'm so sorry to hear that.
To this day I regret not being there when my dad passed. I had promised him (while he was unconscious) that I would hold his hand until the end.

But he died of acute liver failure, and he was so deteriorated that the final 3 hours I spent with him I had to go and cry in a corner, just the sight of him being so helpless and humiliated by the disease was too much for me to bare...

So I left the hospital at about 11:30pm, and he died at 1:30 am... I was close to him, but couldn't hold his hand at the end because I was weak...

K-Panggg: you were not weak. When I saw my fathers mother waiting for the end, I could not enter the hospital room where she was lying. cause what I saw "was not my fathers mother" even though it was. She was clear in her head, but I could just NOT pass over the room door. Cause I was just filled with tears, and I cried almost the whole time I was near the room. So understand, you were NOT weak. Cause then I would be weak back then. And that I am not, and neither are you weak.

Glad you made that point. I guess I blame myself for that, because I always have this feeling of responsibility over things... I know that I did some tremendous stuff for him, but not being there at the end...

Yes,I know, that poor man there suffering was not my father, he was not the strong man I knew and loved all my life... But at the same time, he was my father and I feel like I failed him.

On the other hand, my mom did stay with him, and she always tells me that the best thing she ever did (other than creating me that is) was to kick me out of the room so I didn't see my father die; because HE wouldn't have wanted me to witness that... God knows that that image would haunt me forever if I had stayed...

The one f***ing time I throw away a receipt in the last couple of weeks and it happens to be for the X360 that suddenly decides to randomly RROD, refuses to output video and is out of warranty according to the manufacture date (but not according to the receipt).

Anyone have experience trying to get a replacement receipt out of FYE?

That wouldn't show the serial number though.

Second Xbox (first one still runs fine). They could look up the connection date, but there is no proof that I didn't run it offline for months beforehand (their terms).

I didn't have the original receipt either when mine RROD'd

I rang them (Microsoft) up and told them my serial number and they just tracked it through the purchasing store's order list/inventory, spotting the precise purchase date of the unit by the store. The store possibly keeps an internal record of serial numbers too, so if the super market I bought the XBOX from found their way to that date ..I m sure you can do as good over there.

give it a shot, it worked for me

Falcon. It looks like I can get a copy of the receipt through my bank though, so at least MS will have to honor the warranty. I'm using my non-HDMI 360 now, but I'd like to have both consoles up and running for final network debugging of my XLIG game soon.

Can't afford to pay others.

Programming isn't an issue at all for me. I can do modeling when I need to (link, link) and I do simple foley work. Not the best at texturing, sadly.

I wasn't trying to start any arguments in the 'Dead Snow' thread.
