ok this is just an idea I had while eating a sandwich..... So the 8GB wiiU uses a KLM8G2FE3B-B001 emmc 153FBGA , which can be read and written to without removing the package off the motherboard.. I wonder if I removed the resistors/filters or whatever they are and wired in a SD socket instead? The only issue I see is either increasing the partition of the original dump (it's encrypted) or building a new partition somehow and putting the OS on there.. Idea two is to simply replace the entire flash chip with the KLMBG8FE3B-A001, the pinout is identical and the 8GB and 32GB seem to have the same pads on the PCB.. The same issue is still here, the data but for say, complete offline use, using a dump of another 32GB Wiiu (or a dead one) would work? Unless the NAND is paired to the CPU in some way?? ideas?
I'm not entirely sure what the purpose of such an upgrade would be, other than expansion (something you can already achieve by plugging in an external drive via USB). Could you elaborate as to how this would improve things?
